Abstract

A net of attractive appearance is removably fitted on to a bottle as decoration. It can also be removed from the bottle and used as an item of jewellery. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Net for decorating a bottle or the like The present invention resides in a net of attractive metallic appearance arranged to be removably fitted on to a bottle, jar, flask, or like container, hereinafter referred to as a bottle, to serve as decoration therefor and which, on being removed from the bottle, can serve as an item of jewellery.
The net may be of gold or silver or have the appearance of gold or silver and, after being removed from the bottle, can be used as a bracelet or necklace chain.
The net is conveniently adapted to be fitted over the entire bottle and has a mesh structure of geometric figures, such as triangles and rhomboids.
The mesh may be formed with tongue and groove joints or links at the intersections or crossings, the complete securing or fastening of the said mesh being made at the bottom through a conventional fastening means which tightens the mesh, leaving it secured and adapted to the contour of the bottle which it is intended to richly decorate.
Another optional detail of value and presentation is that, on the top part of the bottle neck and as a finish, an elliptical disc is coupled through side links with the net, with two small rings at its end for the said securing.
The novelty, utility and dual function of the ornamental mesh net disclosed lies in the fact that, once the net is removed from the bottle, it can be elongated through its chained constructions and used as an attractive bracelet or necklace chain, said functions constituting an element of delicate advertising and elegance and valuable subsequent personal use.
In order that the invention may be more readily understood, it will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which: Figure 1 shows a bottle in perspective with the ornamental net mounted on it; and Figure 2 shows the underside of the bottle where the fastening of the mesh chain is mounted.
In these figures, the following elements have been marked with the reference numbers given below: 1. Bottle 2. Net 3. Disc serving as a label 4. Fastening means.
A mesh-like ornamental net on a bottle or the like, having an attractive metallic appearance is convertible into a bracelet or necklace chain and comprises the mesh net 2, which fits over the surface of the bottle 1, forming geometrical figures, such as triangles, rhomboids, etc., and finished at the top by a disc serving as a label 3 linked to the mesh chain 2 in the neck area of the container 1 and, at the lower end of the bottle, there is the fastening 4 which tightens and adapts the net 2 on to the bottle 1, leaving it attractively presented. By releasing the fastening 4, the net can be removed from the bottle. It is then pulled into the form of a chain which can be placed around the user's wrist or neck and re-fastened with the fastening.
1. A net of attractive appearance arranged to be removably fitted on to a bottle to serve as decoration therefor and which, on being removed from the bottle, can serve as an item of jewellery.
2. A net as claimed in claim 1, including a fastening means by which the net can be tightened to fit it on to the bottle and which, on being released, enables the net to be removed from the bottle.
3. A net as claimed in claim 1 or 2, including a metallic disc attached to one end of the net such as to be positioned on the neck of the bottle when the net is fitted on the bottle.
4. A net as claimed in claim 3, in which the disc is of elliptical shape.
5. A net as claimed in any preceding claim, in which the mesh of the net is of triangular or rhomboidal form.
6. A net as claimed in any preceding claim, in which the net is of gold.
7. A net substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawing.
