Abstract

215,848. McCaskill, J. C. H. Feb. 19, 1923. Body attachments, inflatable and buoyant; buoys. - An inflatable body for use in aquatic sports such as water polo is of elongated form adapted to be straddled by the user. Preferably, the body has a contour resembling a head 11 and body 10 of an animal. The body is formed of flexible material. such as rubber, the form shown in Fig. 3 being made of two flat rubber blanks secured along the edges by a strip of rubber cemented and vulcanized in place. The body is inflated through a tube 12 with or without a non-return valve, may be embellished as with eyes &c. of the animal represented, and may have eyelets provided along the lower seam for attachment of balancing weights.
