Abstract
217,810. Fuller's United Electric Works, Ltd., and Welch, A. P. Sept. 24, 1923. Receivers.-In an electromagnetic receiver the telephone mechanism a is mounted in a spring- pressed support b sliding axially in a sleeve c which may form the casing, and means are provided to prevent relative rotation of the parts. The Figure shows the mechanism a co-operating with a diaphragm d. A rod e attached to the support b passes through bracket f and is provided with a threaded end g and a nut r to which is attached a lever l for axial adjustment in cooperation with the springs k. In a modification, the lever l is rigidly attached to the rod e and adjustment is secured by the screwed end of the rod engaging a threaded hole in support b. Rotation of the support b is prevented by pins h sliding in holes j. In a modification, a screw head on the support e slides in a groove in the member c and serves a similar purpose. The spiral springs k may be replaced by one or more flat springs.
