Abstract
218,424. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., Young, A. P., and Fossey, F. A. April 28,1923. Rotary distributors. - An inductor magneto having a stationary armature has both ends of the secondary winding brought out to brushes co-operating with two segments 4 on one track of a double-track slip ring 1, two other segments 5, 6 forming the other track being electrically connected to the collecting-segments and distributing the current across the fixed electrodes 15. The collecting and distributing segments are forced into grooves in their conrecting-links 7 and are secured therein by locking-strips 19. A moulding 16 adapted for cable connection is fitted over the ends of each pair of fixed electrodes. The secondary winding is connected to the segments by metal strips and carbon brushes, a safety gap being formed between the strips. Specification 171,145 is referred to.
