Boxes made from special blanks and combined with means for displaying advertisements &c.-In a cardboard box formed from a cut blank, flaps d', d<2> forming parts of the ends are connected to the back b by corner pieces f<1>, f<2> forming parts of the top l. The edges h<1>, h<2> of the corner pieces are continued into the back b as cuts so that the top hinges about the line k<1>, k<2>. The top has a flap n, is creased along a line, l and is cut to form a semi-circular tongue m so that by folding the outer half of the top inwards and tucking the flap n in the slits h<1>, h<2> a display flap is formed. Extension flaps a<3>, a' on end flaps a', a<2> attached to the bottom engage under the corner pieces f', f<2> and lock the parts in the assembled position without the use of staples, gum, &c. In a modification shown in Fig. 3 the display flap has extensions o<1>. In a further modification shown in Fig. 5 the locking of the parts in position is effected by tongues p<1>, q<1>, p<2>, q<2> engaging slits s<1> r<1>, s<2>, r<2>. In a third modification shown in Fig. 7 the front c has an extension flap u cut to form end flaps w<1> and front corner pieces t'. In this and in the preceding cases the flap n might engage in slots cut in the front c. Staples &c. may be used as an alternative method of securing the end flaps.
