Abstract

A base for attachment to a rotary planer to form a thicknesser has a rise-and-fall platform. As shown the platform is initially fixed in a desired position by bolts which are slidable in slots in the legs of the base, then fine adjustment is provided by bolts which are screwed into the platform (Figs. 2,3) and have a sliding clearance through the top part of the base. <IMAGE>

SPECIFICATION Thickness attachment Can be attached to a Rotary Planer, with a rise and fall platform. Will plane timber to any given thickness within its capacity.
The figures show a base for converting a hand-held rotary planer to a thicknesser. The base may include: (a) Fixing holes for attaching base to a bench top.
(b) 2 holes for a fixing strap Y.
(c) Holes for two fixing straps X (d) Holes for receiving screws slideable in slots in the legs for initial adjustment of platform to a required thickness of timber.
(e) Bolts with clearance at top of base to give a sliding fit therein for fine adjustment of the platform.

    SPECIFICATION Thickness attachment Can be attached to a Rotary Planer, with a rise and fall platform. Will plane timber to any given thickness within its capacity.
    The figures show a base for converting a hand-held rotary planer to a thicknesser. The base may include: (a) Fixing holes for attaching base to a bench top.
