Abstract
220,106. Rogers, R. H. June 9, 1923. Reinforced concrete. - A reinforcement for concrete walls, floors, roads, &c. consists of a pair of metal plates each having rows of bent tongues a, b, the tongues a being bent inwards and some or all connected by spot welding or riveting, and the tongues b bent outwardly. If desired, some of the tongues a may be bent outwardly and some or all of the tongues b bent inwardly. The tongues may be staggered in adjacent rows and the edges of overlapping sheets may be spot welded, riveted, or laced together. Rods may be laid between the two plates and the tongues may be slotted, curled, or looped to support the rods. Perforations m allow air to escape as the concrete is applied. The shuttertering described in Specification 220,204, [Class 20 (ii), Buildings and structures, Miscellaneous accessories &c.], may be used when making walls.
