Abstract

220,123. Avery, Ltd., W. & T., and Timson, W. June 27, 1923. Vibration, preventing and neutralizing. - An equal-armed balance is provided with a tubular arm 11 depending from the centre of the weighbeam 3 and connected at its lower end to a paddle 12 disposed within a box 14 containing oil or other liquid. The paddle may be angularly adjusted to vary its damping effect. Projecting from the arm 11 are two indicating pointers 16 which register against inclined charts 17. Rubber pads are disposed below the scale pans 7 to avoid shock to the knife-edges.
