Abstract
The trousers can be functionally altered by removing one or more component parts - these or different parts may be re-combined if desired, changing the overall function and/or appearance of the garment. The trousers shown comprise an upper component 1 and removable and interchangeable leg components 2 and 3 connectible to the component 1 by fasteners such as zips, press-studs, buttons and pressure sensitive means. The various components may be interchanged with functional components, e.g. with reflective or water resistant leg components. <IMAGE>
Description
RE-ARRANGEABLE TROUSERS
This invention relates to trousers with removable and interchangeable leg components.
Trousers being well known garments have remained relatively unchanged for many years and suffer from a basic defect in that the types of trousers presently available are dictated by the prevailing weather and/or working conditions.
According to the present invention there is provided an arrangeable type of trousers that can be readily modified by temporarily removing - and substituting, if required - the various component parts. The original (or different) components can be quickly re-assembled, so as to restore the garment to its original functionality.
A description of the invention will now be given with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
Figure 1 shows a frontal view of an entire garment;
Figure 2 illustrates the separation of possible components.
Referring to the drawing the re-arrangeable trousers consist of an upper central component 1 and lower removable and interchangeable component parts 2 and 3.
The interchangeable component parts are attached to the upper central component by means of a variety of commonly used fasteners, such as zips, press-studs, buttons, pressure sensitive fasteners and such similar devices.
The length of the various components 1, 2 and 3 may vary in accordance with individual need.
Due to its versatile conception, the re-arrangeable trousers may also be rendered useful as a protective garment by interchanging the normal components (either parts 1, 2 or 3) with a specifically functional part(s) i.e. fluorescent or reflective leg components (providing for example high visibility at night), plastic leg components (conferring water resistance) and so on.
Claims (4)
1 A versatile re-arrangeable pair of trousers comprising an upper central unit with individually removable and mutually interchangeable component parts.
2 A re-arrangeable pair of trousere as claimed in Claim 1 whereas the item, due to the interchangeability of the component parts may be rendered useful as a protective garment by the addition of individual protective component parts.
3 Any individual component part for use with the above re-arrangeable pair of trousers as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2.
4 A versatile, re-arrangeable pair of trousers substantially as described'herein with reference to Figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings.
