Abstract

613,386. Ventilating crank chambers. ENFIELD CYCLE CO., Ltd., and NOSSITER, C. F. June 20, 1946, No. 18501. [Class 7 (ii)] A crank-case breather comprises an outlet non-return valve d, a labyrinth passage and a filter e for the gases passing out, and an inlet non-return valve b<1> for the air passing in and the return of lubricant deposited in a trap a3. The filter is held between a boss on the crankcase cover a and inverted cup-shaped cover c having an annular flange c<2> forming the labyrinth passage and retained by a thumbscrew b<1>.
