[Also in Group XVII] A drum having rolling hoops 13, 14, has each hoop strengthened by a band 15, 16 located in it in contact with its inner surface. Preferably, the bands are inserted in the drum before the hoops are pressed out, and are pressed out simultaneously with the hoops. The drum may have corrugations parallel to the rings 13, 14, Fig. 2 (not shown).
