Abstract

803,549. Building bricks. FOSTER & CO., Ltd., H., and EWART, N. Feb. 16, 1956 [March 1, 1955], No. 6080/55. Class 87(1) [Also in Group XII] In a building brick having parallel plane end faces and one opposed pair of parallel plane side faces, the other opposed side faces a, b comprise a shallow V-section projection and a complementary recess respectively formed by the inclined surfaces a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP>; b<SP>1</SP> , b<SP>2</SP>. The side faces a, b may be parallel, or they may be mutually inclined and the other side faces correspondingly tapered. A modified brick f, Fig. 8, is formed with a V-shaped projection on two opposite side faces. In a further modification, the brick has three plane side faces, the fourth being provided with either a projection or recess of V- shape. A central aperture may be provided in the brick, as shown in Fig. 8, for the passage of a bolt h.
