(2) Provide (2) as is well known. The cabinet (1) is mounted on a base (3) which is a so-called television table. recent years,
Especially in small television receivers, cabinets
There is a demand for a type (1) in which the lateral width is formed to be narrow and does not require a large space for installation. In view of this, as shown in FIG. 11, there is a type in which the speakers (2) and (2) face forward and are disposed below the cathode ray tube (4). However, since the lower side of the cathode ray tube (4) of the cabinet (1) needs to be at least as large as the diameter of the speaker (2), even if the width of the cabinet (1) can be reduced, it becomes longer vertically. It is easy to give the impression of instability in design. FIG.
When the speakers (2) and (2) face outward and are arranged inside the side surface of the cabinet (1), the sound from the speakers (2) is directly transmitted to a viewer located in front of the cabinet (1) as shown in FIG. Hard to reach. As is well known, sound causes a diffraction phenomenon that wraps around shadows such as obstacles when propagating.
As for the sound from (2), the diffracted sound reaches the viewer even if the sound is not transmitted directly.

Also, since only the diffracted sound is transmitted to the viewer, the sound may be heard small and the volume may be increased more than necessary. However, in this, beside the cabinet (1),
If there is a person other than the viewer, the person is noisy and feels touching. The applicant uses a television receiver having a reduced width of the cabinet (1) to reflect the sound from the speaker (2) to the upper surface of the base (3), and make the reflected sound reach the viewer. Noticed that the viewer did not have to raise the volume more than necessary. In particular, this effect is large in high-frequency sounds that have strong directivity and are difficult to diffract. An object of the present invention is to provide a television receiver in which the width of a cabinet (1) is reduced and high-frequency characteristics in which high-frequency sound is easily transmitted to a viewer are improved.

At the lower end of the cabinet (1), a mounting surface (10) extending inward and downward from the side surface of the cabinet (1) is formed, and the speaker (2) is arranged facing the inside of the mounting surface (10). Then, the sound wave from the speaker (2) is transmitted to the mounting surface (30) on which the cabinet (1) is installed once after being reflected.

Is reflected obliquely, and the reflected sound is transmitted to a viewer located in front of the cabinet (1). As a result, not only the diffracted sound but also the sound reflected by the mounting surface (30) reaches the viewer.
Is provided on the side surface of the cabinet (1) (see FIG. 12), the volume transmitted to the viewer is larger. In particular, this effect is large in high-frequency sounds that have strong directivity and are difficult to diffract. This allows the viewer to hear the sound without raising the volume more than necessary, and does not give discomfort due to noise to anyone other than the viewer. In addition, high-frequency sounds can be easily transmitted to the viewer, and the high-frequency characteristics are also improved. The reason why the mounting surface (10) is directed to the side of the cabinet (1) and not to the front will be described later.

The same reference numerals are used for the same configuration as the conventional one. FIG. 1 is a front view of a television receiver, which has a 14-inch screen as described later. The cabinet (1) for accommodating the CRT (4) is mounted on a mounting surface (30), which is the upper surface of the base (3), and has an opening (11) on the front surface in which the CRT (4) fits. At both sides of the lower end of the cabinet (1), mounting surfaces (10) (10) are formed, which are inclined inward and downward from the side surfaces of the cabinet (1). Mounting surface (1
0) is inclined about 25 degrees with respect to the mounting surface (30). Each mounting surface
A speaker (2) is provided to face the inside of (10), and the sound from the speaker (2) is reflected once on the mounting surface (30) and located in front of the cabinet (1). Reach the audience. That is, in this example, as shown by a dashed line in FIG. 2, the speaker (2) is located at a symmetrical virtual position with respect to the mounting surface (30).
The same effect as deploying can be obtained.

If the radiation direction is 90 degrees, the sound spread from one speaker (2) at the virtual position is , Through the shaded area. Therefore, the sound from both speakers (2) and (2) can be heard at the location where the two hatched portions intersect. As shown in FIG. 3, the point where the two hatched portions intersect is
A viewer that covers most of the screen and is often located in front of the screen can hear the sound from both speakers (2) and (2). That is, the sound reflected on the mounting surface (30) is transmitted to the viewer in addition to the diffracted sound. High-frequency sound has a strong directivity and is hard to diffract, so that the diffracted sound is difficult to be transmitted to the viewer. However, since the sound reflected on the mounting surface (30) is transmitted to the viewer, such a sound is transmitted to the viewer.

And a conventional television receiver having speakers (2) and (2) on the side of the cabinet (1) as shown in FIG. 12, and a frequency characteristic of sound from the speaker (2). Was measured. The measurement was performed at a location 1 m away from the center of the screen in front of the center. 5 to 7 are graphs showing frequency characteristics. The horizontal axis represents frequency (Hz), and the vertical axis represents level (dB). The horizontal axis ranges from 0 to 20000 Hz, and the vertical axis ranges from 0 to 50 dB. FIG.
Is a television receiver provided with the cabinet (1) according to the present embodiment, and FIG. 6 shows data in a conventional television receiver. FIG. 7 shows a cabinet according to this example.
This is data obtained by laying a sound absorbing material made of urethane on the mounting surface (30) using a television receiver provided with (1). That is, FIG. 5 shows data obtained by adding a diffracted sound to the reflected sound from the speaker (2), and FIG. 7 shows data obtained when the reflected sound from the speaker (2) is absorbed. Comparing FIG. 5 with FIG. 6, the data in FIG.
It turns out that the high frequency component near 00HZ is large. This allows the sound to be reflected and transmitted to the mounting surface (30),
It can be seen that high frequency components having strong directivity are also transmitted to the viewer. In addition, comparing FIG. 5 with FIG. 7, it can be seen that when the sound absorbing material is laid on the mounting surface (30), the high-frequency component near 10,000 HZ is reduced, and the effect of this example is reduced.

(1) is placed on a pallet (6), and a circuit board and various parts are mounted while moving the pallet (6) by a conveyor. Here, while the pallet (6) is moving,
(6) Vibration is easy. Therefore, as described above, the rail piece (5)
While holding the speaker (2) in (5), pallet (6)
Is moved, there is a possibility that the speaker (2) may fall or fall along the mounting surface (10) due to the vibration of the pallet (6). In order to prevent this possibility, the angle β formed by the mounting surface 10 and the upper surface of the base 3 cannot be increased. As a result, it is rather difficult to make the sound reach the viewer located in front of the screen. By reflecting the sound of the loudspeaker (2) to the base (3) even when the mounting surface (10) is inclined sideways, the applicant can reduce the high frequency components of the sound as shown in FIG. The cabinet (1) shown in FIG.

In the cabinet (1) according to the present embodiment, the mounting surface (10) has an inner surface extending downward from the upper end. Since the shape is inclined in the direction, less molding material is required compared to the rectangular parallelepiped cabinet (1). Further, as shown in FIG. 13, since the cathode ray tube (4) forms a bulge (40) from the rear to the front, the speaker
(2) In the conventional device in which (2) is provided on the side surface of the cabinet (1), the speakers (2) and (2) are prevented from bulging and the cabinet
It must be provided on the back side of (1). However, in the case where the speaker (2) is mounted facing the mounting surface (10) as in this example, it is not necessary to avoid the bulging of the cathode ray tube (4). In this respect, the molding material for the cabinet (1) can also be saved.
