For example, the former aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite has a strong odor peculiar to chlorine, has a strong alkali, and is dangerous to the human body. Further, the latter sodium percarbonate aqueous solution is odorless, but its efficacy is relatively weak, and there is a problem in that its use is limited.

In use, the solid substance can be utilized only by dissolving it in water, and the hypobromite that is formed by the reaction at that time is utilized. Specifically, the solid substances of calcium hypochlorite and inorganic bromide are mainly used. For the removal and bleaching of black mold in the form of powder, granules and tablets, which contains a solid alkaline agent whose content is adjusted so that the pH of the aqueous solution when dissolved in water is 10 to 13.5 It is characterized by being a solid agent.

If the alkalinity (pH) of the aqueous solution used at the time of application is high, the rate of formation of hypobromite by the following chemical reaction will be slow, and if the alkalinity is low, the formed hypobromite will be easily formed. This is because it is decomposed and disappears, and it is most preferable to add it so that the pH is generally 10 to 13.5, and particularly pH is 11 to 12.5. Such a mixture is stable in a solid anhydrous state, but when dissolved in water, it produces hypobromite according to the following chemical reaction formula.

It is advisable to add it in advance so that it will be 10 or more. However, since normally bleaching powder contains calcium hydroxide, it is often unnecessary to add it separately when using bleaching powder.

In the solid state, there is no odor, there is little risk of sticking to the human body, it has the characteristics of good storage stability, and it can be used by simply dissolving it in water at the time of use. Compared with this, the effect time is much faster, and even if the concentration is low, the effect of removal and bleaching can be sufficiently exerted.

The hypobromite, which is easily decomposed, is generally removed as it is treated and stored until it is dissolved in water during use.
There is an effect that the bleaching effect can be effectively used and a burden for suppressing decomposition is reduced.

This mixture was dissolved and allowed to stand in water at room temperature so as to have a constant concentration calculated by the reaction formula, and the time-dependent change in the concentration of sodium hypobromite produced by chemical analysis was measured. The results are shown in Table 1. It was shown to.

It is stable above pH = 13, but the production rate is slow. Usually, it takes a few minutes to 1 to 2 hours to process the actual mold and bleach, so the practical alkalinity of the bleach is pH = 11.
The optimum value is ~ 12.
