なるので、左右の建物が地震等で前後左右および上下方
向に揺れ動いても、その揺れ動きに追従して下部カバ―
部材および上部カバ―部材を移動させることができる。

物の左右のパラペット間を覆う笠木装置において、該笠
木装置を前記左右のパラペットの上部で両側部寄りの対
向面部位に両端部が取付けられた伸縮および回動可能な
一対の支持部材と、この一対の支持部材に隙間を介して
支持されるように配置したチャンネル部材を上部が開口
するようにチャンネル状に折曲げた多数個の下部カバ―
部材と、この多数個の下部カバ―部材の隣り合う下部カ
バ―部材内に両側部が挿入されるチャンネル部材を下部
が開口するようにチャンネル状に折曲げた前後左右に移
動可能な多数個の上部カバ―部材と、前記多数個の下部
カバ―部材をそれぞれ所定間隔で前記左右のパラペット
間の目地部に位置させるように前記左右のパラペットに
両端部が取付けられた下部カバ―部材均等維持機構と、
前記多数個の上部カバ―部材をそれぞれ前記下部カバ―
部材より脱落しないように保持する保持機構とで構成し
