In particular, this low-order twist region is likely to occur at a point where the thickness of the liquid crystal layer changes greatly or near a boundary between a voltage applied portion and a voltage non-applied portion. For this reason, in the conventional liquid crystal color display device,
There is a problem that a low-order twist region is generated and grows near the boundary between the display unit and the non-display unit, thereby deteriorating the display quality.

Further, even when a step due to the color filter peripheral portion and the simulated transparent electrode present in the non-display portion or a low-order twist region occurs in the sealant portion, if the distance from the point to the display portion is sufficient, the low It is possible to prevent the next twist area from reaching the display portion.
