ルスキンプレートの内周に沿ってリング状に組立てたセ
グメントとの間に、テールスキンプレート内周に固着さ
れ且つセグメント外周に対し摺接し得る複数のテールシ
ールを、テールスキンプレート軸方向へ所要の間隔で設
置し、且つ前記テールシール及びセグメント並びにテー
ルスキンプレートに包囲されてシール空間が形成される
シールド掘進機において、前記テールスキンプレート
に、セグメント組立スペースの前方側より後方側のシー
ル空間位置まで延びる切欠き部分を設け、シール剤通路
を有する塞ぎ材を前記テールスキンプレートの切欠き部
分に嵌着し、前記シール剤通路の後方側端部をシール空
間に連通すると共に、前記シール剤通路の前方側端部に
シール剤供給ポンプを連結してなることを特徴とするシ
ールド掘進機のシール空間へのシール剤供給装置。1.
