However, even though the conventional roll towels can sufficiently satisfy the cleanliness in appearance, they have not been sufficiently satisfactory from the viewpoint of microbiological cleanliness.
In particular, in the case of roll towels used for medical care and dining, etc., even the adhesion of sterilization may be a problem, but conventional roll towels do not provide any guarantee for such applications. Was.

Therefore, such roll towels and the like have recently been subjected to treatment such as disinfecting and cleaning, and have been shipped to consumers and gained a favorable reception. Further, such disinfecting cleaning is used not only for roll towels but also for sheets, fukins, underwear, handkerchiefs, wide cloths, and the like, and the quality of these is improved.

By the way, when such a roll towel or the like is sterilized, its quality cannot be guaranteed unless the sterilization state is inspected. Conventionally, such products are inspected for sterility by examining the number of bacteria by the Stomacher method. However, in the conventional method, a part of fibers such as a roll towel is cut off to make a test piece, which means the destruction or breakage of the fiber product. However, there is a problem in that the operation method is complicated, and such an operation method is complicated.

The simple bacterial count method for fibers of the present invention comprises a container containing sterilized water and a lid having a projection protruding toward the inside of the container. The fibers of the area are sandwiched between the fibers taken into the container and the inner wall of the container and between the fibers and the lid so that a space is secured, and sterile water is allowed to exist between both spaces to remove the fibers. The method is characterized in that the sandwiched container and lid are shaken to extract the fungi in the fibers into sterilized water to produce a bacterial solution.

The present invention is intended to extract fungi into sterilized water by shaking the object to be inspected between a container containing the extracted sterilized water and a lid thereof, and shaking the fibers. This is based on the finding that when the projections are provided, fungi in the fiber are extracted very well into sterilized water.

When performing the bacterial count test according to the method of the present invention, a part of the fiber to be inspected is sandwiched between the container and the lid, and a part thereof is sealed in the container. It will not be cut off. The fibers in the container come into contact with sterilized water by shaking the container, and the attached fungi are extracted. In this case, fungi cannot be sufficiently extracted from the fibers to be inspected simply by inserting a part of the fibers. Therefore, in the present invention, a projection is provided on the lid, and the projection is formed to have a length at least immersed in sterile water added to the container. Thereby, the fibers are pushed down deeply in the container, at least a part thereof is immersed in the sterilized water, and the setting is made such that the sterilized water exists in both the space on the lid body side and the container inner wall side bordering the fibers. When the protrusions having such a length are provided, fungi can be well extracted from the fibers. In such a simple inspection method, a clear correlation was found between the stomacher method, which is the current method, and an order of 10 to 10 5 per 1 cm 2 of the fiber, as shown in Examples described later.

FIG. 1 is an explanatory view of a container in which the simple bacterial cell count method for fibers according to the present invention is used. Container 2 as shown in FIG.
Inside, sterilized water (extracted water) 4 is added to 1/3 to 1/2. The lid 6 is fitted to the container 2 with the fibers 8 interposed therebetween, and a protrusion 10 is provided at a substantially central portion of the inner surface of the lid 6 so as to project into the container 2.

In such a configuration, when the container 2 is shaken, fungi are extracted from the fibers 8 into the sterilized water. There is no problem with shaking of the container 2 with a shaking device or a manual strong shake, and the number of times of shaking of the container 2 is at least 20 times, more preferably
FIG. 2 is a graph showing the number of bacteria extracted per 1 cm 2 of fibers and the number of times of shaking, in the range of 50 to 100 times.
As shown in FIG. 2, it can be seen that the number of bacteria extracted from the fibers becomes substantially constant after 20 or more shakings. Table 1 shows the relationship between the number of extracted bacteria (per 1 cm 2 ) and the logarithm of the log and the number of times of shaking for three samples of fibers. As is clear from this table, the number of times of shaking is constant at 50 to 100 times in the simple bacteria count method for fibers of the present invention. Incidentally, the shaking method of the present invention is a general one,
Even if the shaking method is changed, it is expected that certain bacteria are extracted from the fibers by a certain degree of shaking. Table 1 shows the results.

The length of the projection 10 of the lid 6 is preferably at least 1/4 of the length of the container 2. For example, as shown in FIG. 1, sterilized water 4 exists in the space 12 on the lid 6 side and the space 14 on the container inner wall side. When the protrusions 10 are formed to have such a length, fungi can be favorably extracted in addition to the fibers.

The simple bacterial cell count method for such fibers was applied to 50 samples having different numbers of adhered cells, and the exact cell count of each sample was determined by the current method, the Stomacher method. The graph of FIG. 3 shows the correlation between the simple bacterial water test method for fibers and the Stomacher method for these 50 samples. According to this result, a simple cell count tests fiber although detection sensitivity compared to current stomacher method one order lower, the correlation between the current stomacher method was observed in the range of up to 10 to 10 5. The correlation formula determined by taking the logarithm was log F = 1.02 Log S−1.07 R = 0.933 (F: number of bacteria by this method, S: number of bacteria by Stomacher method).

As described above, the simple bacterial count method for fibers of the present invention uses the lid when the fibers to be inspected are shaken between the container containing the extraction sterilized water and the lid. Since the projections are provided on the body, fungi in the fibers can be satisfactorily extracted into sterilized water. Further, in the method of the present invention, which was examined using the extract thus extracted, a clear correlation with the current method, the Stomacher method, on the order of 10 to 10 5 is seen. For this reason, it is possible to accurately test the number of bacteria such as a roll towel for a cabinet that requires a bacteria test of fibers by a simple operation and without damaging the fibers.
