Is closed and power is supplied to the heater (2), the heater (2) generates heat. As a result, the air in the main body case (1) is warmed and rises, and is guided to the guide plate (4) as shown by the arrow (a) and is discharged to the outside through the exhaust port (8) of the panel (6). Warm the room. On the other hand, the cold air in the lower part of the room is sucked into the main body case (1) as shown by the arrow (b) from the intake port (7) with the discharge of the hot air, and is heated by the heater (2) to be heated by the main body case (1). ) Rise inside. As a result, convection occurs in the room, and the room air is efficiently warmed.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line AA of FIG. In the figure,
(1) is a main body case, (2) is a U-shaped heater provided in the main body case (1), and (3) is a straight pipe portion (2b) excluding a bent portion (2a) of the heater (2). It is a radiation fin provided. Heating wires (not shown) are wound around the heater (2) at the same pitch. Therefore, the surface temperature of the heater (2) is higher in the U-shaped portion (2a) than in the radiating fins (3). It is higher than the straight pipe section (2b) provided, and at the time of abnormality, it reaches the highest temperature quickly. (4) is a guide plate attached to the main body case (1), which covers the upper part of the heater (2) in an inclined manner. (6) is a panel that covers the front surface of the main body case (1), and (7) and (8) are a number of intake ports and exhaust ports provided at a lower portion and an upper portion of the panel (6), respectively. (9) is a heater mounting plate for fixing the bent portion (2a) of the heater (2) to the main body case (1) and the like, and (10) is a member having good heat conduction fastened to the heater mounting plate (9). (11) is an overheat prevention device attached to the heat conduction plate (10), and heat of the heater (2) is supplied to the heater attachment plate (9).
From the heat conduction plate (10) to the overheat prevention device (11).

The operation at the time of normal heating is exactly the same as that of the conventional example shown in FIG. Now, when an abnormal situation occurs in which the exhaust port (8) is closed by a blanket or the like, the air heated by the heater (2) loses its escape space and stays inside the main body case (1). For this reason, the air in the vessel is further warmed by the heater (2), and the surface temperature of the heater (2) itself rises sharply. At this time, the heat conduction plate (10) to which the overheat prevention device (11) is fixed is connected to the high-temperature air trapped in the main body case (1) and the heater mounting plate (9).
The temperature rises rapidly due to the heat of the heater (2) transmitted through the heater. For this reason, the excessive temperature rise prevention device (11) operates, and the energization of the heater (2) is stopped.

Since the temperature sensing part of the overheat prevention device is facing to the part and fixed,
Even in the event of an abnormal situation such as closing the exhaust port with a blanket, the power supply can be stopped immediately in response to the abnormal temperature rise in the main body case. For this reason, a safe electric heater which can prevent accidents such as burns and fires can be obtained.
