[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The polishing by the conventional drum method has an advantage that a rubber drum and a polishing felt are deformed according to the surface shape of an object to be polished, so that uniform polishing can be performed. Polishing felt having high density and hardness cannot be used as in the polishing felt used in the method, and there is a problem that the quality of the polished surface is low.

On the other hand, in the flat disk type polishing, since polishing is performed using a polishing felt impregnated with urethane foam, a high-quality polished surface can be obtained, but the disk and the polishing felt are not deformed, and such as a cathode ray tube. There is a problem that it is difficult to uniformly polish a curved object to be polished.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention relates to a tubular felt body that can be mounted on a drum of a pneumatic rotary rubber drum type polishing machine, a base cloth woven in a chabelle shape, and needlingly bonded to an outer surface of the base cloth. A bat, and a urethane foam-impregnated layer was formed on the bat. That is, the butt that is needlingly bonded to the outer surface of the tubular base fabric has toughness, but by forming a urethane foam impregnated layer on the bat, the soft elasticity of urethane foam is added to the toughness of the bat. The hardness and the density of the polishing pad are increased, and the adaptability to the curved surface to be polished is improved so that a polished surface having a high surface quality can be obtained.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a tubular polishing felt, and the felt 1 has a tubular shape that can be mounted on an air press-fit type rubber drum D. Felt 1 is base cloth 2 and bat 3
Are connected by a needling device 10 as shown in FIG. That is, the bat 3 is supplied with the bat forming short fiber film F by the conveyor 13 on the upper surface of the base cloth 2 circulating between the delivery roll 11 and the enterling roll 12 in order, and the needle board 14 supplies the base cloth 2 with the film F. The needling is repeatedly bonded.

In addition, after the bat 3 is connected to the base cloth 2 by needling,
The impregnated layer forming apparatus 20 as shown in FIG.
3a, a urethane foam impregnated layer H is formed with an appropriate thickness, and a soft elastic layer is retained in the tissue. That is, the surface layer 3a of the bat 3 circulating between the drive roll 21 and the stretch roll 22 is impregnated with the urethane resin liquid U in the liquid storage tank 23, and the liquid U is squeezed by the squeezing roll 24, whereby the liquid U is squeezed. After a predetermined amount is uniformly impregnated in the inside, the liquid storage tank 23 is retracted downward, and then the far-infrared heater 25 is removed.
The urethane impregnated layer H foamed in the above is cured and solidified to be integrated with the surface layer 3a of the bat 3. The amount of the urethane resin liquid U forming the impregnated layer H depends on the tissue density and the fiber composition of the vat 3, but is generally 20 to 150% of the felt weight.
% Range so that it is not too hard or too soft. Usually, a range of 30 to 50% is desirable.

Thus, when the butt 3 comes into contact with the surface to be polished, the soft elasticity of the urethane foam impregnated layer H is added to the toughness of the fiber structure to achieve a good close contact state, and a high grinding efficiency and a smooth polished surface are obtained. The contact surface can be configured.

- Experimental conditions - drum rotation = 580Rpm pressure = 0.8 kg / cm 2 abrasive concentration = 1.2% polishing time = 50H [Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention relates to a base cloth woven into a chabelle-like base fabric, which is attached to the drum of a pneumatic rotary rubber drum type polishing machine, and needlingly bonded to the outer surface of the base cloth. And the bat has a urethane foam-impregnated layer formed on the bat. Polishing to which the soft elasticity of the impregnation layer is added becomes possible. For this reason,
In particular, in the polishing of the cathode ray tube panel face, an excellent effect of obtaining a uniform and high-quality polished surface can be obtained.
