In this case, if the steel core aluminum stranded wire is not sufficiently inserted into the aluminum compression sleeve and compressed, the contact resistance between the steel core aluminum stranded wire and the aluminum compression sleeve will increase. This leads to an accident that the stranded wire comes off the aluminum compression sleeve.

Conventionally, in order to prevent such an accident from occurring, the steel core of the aluminum core in the aluminum compression sleeve is magnetized by a permanent magnet from outside the aluminum compression sleeve, and then the magnetic detector is compressed by the aluminum compression sleeve. The terminal position of the steel core was detected by detecting the magnetism of the steel core while moving along the portion (Japanese Patent Publication No. 60-34790).

[Means for Solving the Problems] The means of the present invention for achieving the above object will be described. The present invention relates to a method for determining the terminal position of a steel core of a steel core aluminum stranded wire which is compression-connected in an aluminum compression sleeve. In the method for detecting the end position of a steel core aluminum stranded wire in an aluminum compression sleeve to be detected, a sensor having a bar magnet rotatably supported at the center of gravity is used, and the sensor is disposed outside the aluminum compression sleeve along its longitudinal direction. And detecting the terminal position of the steel core of the steel core aluminum stranded wire from the direction of the bar magnet.

[Operation] When a bar magnet rotatable at the position of the center of gravity is used as the sensor in this way, the bar magnet has a property of attracting to the magnetic material, so that the steel core of the steel core aluminum stranded wire and the bar magnet attract. Thus, the terminal position of the steel core can be detected from the direction of the bar magnet without magnetizing the steel core.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. The steel core aluminum stranded wire 1 has a structure in which an aluminum wire 3 is twisted around a steel core 2. One end of an aluminum compression sleeve 4 is compression-connected to the end of the steel core aluminum stranded wire 1. That is, an electric wire insertion hole 5 is provided at one end of the aluminum compression sleeve 4, and the end of the steel core aluminum stranded wire 1 is inserted into the electric wire insertion hole 5 and compression-connected. The compressed portion 4A of the aluminum compression sleeve 4 thus compressed is compressed, for example, in a hexagonal cross section. The other end of the aluminum compression sleeve 4 is retained by a retaining pin lamp 6.

As a sensor 7 for detecting the terminal position of the steel core 2 of the steel core aluminum stranded wire 1 in the aluminum compression sleeve 4, a bar magnet 9 having a length of, for example, about 5 cm is accommodated in a case 8 made of a transparent plastic or the like. The bar magnet 9 has a structure rotatably supported by a shaft 10 at the center of gravity.

The case 8 of the sensor 7 is brought into contact with the compression portion 4A of the aluminum compression sleeve 4 and moved in the longitudinal direction. If the steel core 2 exists in the compression part 4A at the position where the case 8 is in contact, one pole of the bar magnet 9 (the S pole closer to the steel core 2 in the figure) is attracted to the steel core 2 by magnetic force. Together, the bar magnet 9 is oriented substantially perpendicular to the compression section 4A, as in the position A. When the sensor 7 exists at the position B where the steel core 2 does not exist in the compression portion 4A, one pole (the S pole in the figure) of the bar magnet 9 attracts the closest part of the steel core 2 by magnetic force. Therefore, the bar magnet 9 faces the end of the steel core 2, that is, the end of the steel core aluminum stranded wire 1. Thus, by observing the direction of the bar magnet 9 as the sensor 7 moves, the terminal position of the steel core aluminum stranded wire 1 can be known.

[Effect of the Invention] As described above, in the method for detecting the end position of the steel core aluminum stranded wire in the aluminum compression sleeve according to the present invention, a rod magnet rotatable at the center of gravity is used as a sensor. The terminal position of the steel core can be detected by utilizing the property that the steel core and the bar magnet attract each other. Therefore, in the present invention, the operation of magnetizing the steel core is not required, and the terminal position of the steel core aluminum stranded wire can be detected more easily than in the related art.
