The above water-absorbing polymer, starch, CMC and the like do not prevent the use of one or more of these. An inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate, clay, feldspar and talc is mixed with the water absorbing agent 3 to coat the surface of the plate-shaped paper piece 2.

Since the present invention uses the cardboard base paper 1 as a raw material, the cardboard base paper 1 contains the above-mentioned inorganic filler, and its utility is utilized.

A large number of the above-mentioned urine disposal materials or bedding rugs are used by laying them on the floor of a toilet tray or the floor of a shed, and the size of each of them depends on the purpose of use.
The size is in the range of about 0 to 30 mm square. In the first and second embodiments, the plate-shaped paper piece 2 is formed in a substantially rectangular shape, and the surface thereof is covered with the water-absorbing material 3 so as to have a size within the above range.

The animal urinary treatment material or bedding for bedding according to the present invention is based on plate-shaped paper pieces obtained by subdividing corrugated cardboard base paper, and the entire surface of each of the subdivided plate-shaped paper sheets is absorbed with a water-absorbing agent. Since the cavities of the respective sheet-like paper pieces formed by the corrugated paperboard of the corrugated paperboard are left open in the corrugated paperboard at the corrugated end face side, urination of animals having a hollow and open structure is performed.
