2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a hand-held polishing device has been used for finishing and deburring a machine product such as a machine part or a mold. The hand-held polishing device is of a type that rotates a polishing tool and a type that reciprocates the polishing tool. There are two types, depending on the shape of the surface to be polished. The former type of hand-held polishing apparatus that rotates a polishing tool is extremely versatile and supports various shapes of the surface to be polished. The latter hand-held polishing apparatus that reciprocates the polishing tool, chucks a flat file-shaped polishing tool with a rectangular cross section to the holder, holds it with the inclination just like holding a writing instrument, and holds it on the desired surface to be polished. Generally, a flat portion or a corner rising from the flat portion is polished in such a manner that the tip of the polishing tool is beaten little by little.

The above-mentioned hand-held polishing apparatus for rotating a polishing tool is extremely versatile as described above, however, as shown in FIG. At the corner C of the bottom surface such as the square hole H with the bottom and the irregularly shaped hole with the bottom, the unprocessed portion h1 always remains even if the polishing tool T having a small diameter is used. Further, in consideration of the strength of the polishing tool T, the diameter cannot be reduced indiscriminately. Therefore, such a corner portion is used in place of the latter hand-held polishing device of the type that reciprocates the polishing tool,
In the case of a deformed hole having a depth with respect to the hole diameter, when the hand-held polishing apparatus is inclined as described above, the polishing tool interferes with the hole, and the polishing process may be restricted. Even if the hole can be held inclined, the corner of the bottom surface of such a hole is difficult to work with a flat file-shaped polishing tool having a rectangular cross section, and the efficiency is low. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a polishing tool which is used for a reciprocating type hand-held polishing apparatus and is mainly suitable for polishing a hole bottom having an arbitrary shape.

In the embodiment described above, the main body 1 and the grindstone 2 are formed as separate members and the grindstone 2 is attached to the main body 1. However, the main body 1 and the grindstone 2 are integrally formed. In this case, the abrasive grains may be directly fixed to the tip portion 15 of the main body 1 or the tip portion 15 of the main body 1 may be formed into a file shape. It is preferable that the main body 1 integrally formed with the grindstone portion 2 be made of stainless steel, spring steel, or the like in order to secure the hardness of the steel. Also, the third
It is optional to form the tip of the polishing tool of the fifth to fifth embodiments in a T-shape as exemplified in the second embodiment. Furthermore, the present applicant uses a hand-held polishing device of the type that swings with reciprocating motion proposed in Japanese Patent Application No. 8-109590, and chucks in such a manner that the grindstone portion reciprocates in a direction orthogonal to the swinging direction. By doing so, as shown in FIG. 11, polishing can be performed over a wider range (indicated by a two-dot chain line).

As described above, the present invention has the following advantageous effects. According to the first aspect, the shaft-shaped main body that supports the grindstone portion is configured to be elastically deformable from the grindstone portion to the middle portion, so that the vertical movement imparted to the main body base portion is reduced in the horizontal direction. The grinding wheel pressed against the surface to be polished in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the main body is reciprocated along the surface to be polished, so the unrotated part of the conventional rotary type polishing tool is inevitable. The corners of the bottom surface, such as a square hole with a bottom and an irregularly shaped hole with a bottom, can be easily polished. In addition, since the reciprocating type hand-held polishing apparatus is used upright with respect to the surface to be polished, there is no possibility that the polishing tool will interfere with the holes, so that the polishing process is not restricted. According to the second aspect, the vertical movement given to the main body base is converted into the horizontal movement, and the plurality of grindstone parts pressed against the surface to be polished in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the main body are polished. Since the reciprocating motion reciprocates so as to approach and separate along the surface, the polishing can be efficiently performed over a wider range.
