例の埋込ボックス1は、鋼板等の金属製であり、第1図

り、下部だけに開口を形成して配線器具4に背方から蓋
をする形で被着されることにより耐火性を施すようにし
てある。天板1aと側板1dとの間及び切り残された底板1b
と背板1cとの間は切り離し、両側板1dを開口縁側に行く
ほどに外側方に拡開させて、背板1cとの連結部を起点と
して可撓自在としてある。そして、両側板1dの開口縁か
ら外側方に向けて耳片6を形成すると共に、開口縁から
奥まった部分に上記耳片6との間で例えば石膏ボード等
からなる壁板2を挟み込む複数個の爪7を切り起こし形
成し、この埋込ボックス1を側板1dの可撓性に抗して壁
板2に形成された埋込穴2aに挿入すると、壁板2の開口
縁が耳片6と爪7との間に嵌まり込んで、埋込ボックス
1自体で壁板2に仮固定できるようにしてある。なお、
上記耳片6は埋込穴2aからの埋込ボックス1の抜け防止
と共に、取付力の向上を図る働きがある。上記入線口と
しての開口5にはロール処理を施して、電線の被覆8の
被覆に傷を付けないようにしてある。背板1cは下部を切
り越し、この切り越し片により埋込ボックス1に絶縁性
を持たせるためにアース線を接続するタップ9を形成し
てある。なお、この切り越し部にもロール処理を施して
電線の被覆に傷を付けることがないようにしてある。上
記天板1aの開口縁には、既製の埋込形の配線器具4が取
り付けられた取付枠3を壁板2に固定する挟み金具10を
通す挿通部11aが形成された挿通片11を上方に向けて形
成してある。なお、挟み金具10は断面略J字状に形成さ
れたもので、第3図に示すように、取付枠3の固定孔12
の両側に形成された取付孔13に基端に一対形成された略
L字状の固定片10aを係止して仮止め状態で取り付けら
れ、固定孔12を通して固定ねじ14をねじ孔10b(第6図
参照)に固定すると、先端部が壁板2の裏面に弾性係止
され、これにより取付枠3を壁板2に固定するようにな
っている。なお、固定ねじ14をねじ止めして取付枠3を
壁板2の埋込穴2aに取り付けると、埋込ボックス1の耳
片6が取付枠2と壁板2との間に挟持され、埋込ボック
ス1が完全に固定されることになる。また、埋込ボック
ス1の開口5は取付枠2の下部に取り付けられる挟み金
具10を挿通する挿通部として機能する。本実施例の埋込
ボックス1のように構成すれば、埋込ボックス1を壁板
