H形鋼材100 の接合は、それらのフランジ101 の側縁部
同士を線状に溶接して(溶接部103 )行っている。しか
し、覆工板に外力が作用した場合、その外力に抗する応
力が、線状の溶接部のみから隣接するH形鋼材に伝達さ
れる。従って、応力発生時の溶接部の負荷が大きいた
め、H形鋼材同士の溶接が不十分な場合に、溶接部から
分離解体するおそれがある。また、荷重が直接作用する
H形鋼材の応力は、フランジ101 の溶接だけでは隣接す
るH形鋼材に十分に伝達されず、荷重が直接作用するH
形鋼材の応力の負担が大きくなるおそれがある。
