2. Description of the Related Art Clothes produce an undesirable feeling due to the fact that the fiber treatment agent is washed away during repeated wearing and washing, or becomes hard due to deterioration of the fibers themselves. Therefore, in recent years, in many households, a softening agent capable of imparting flexibility and antistatic property to fibers has been frequently used.

[0003] At present, most of the commercially available softeners for domestic use are cationic activators having two long-chain alkyl groups in one molecule, especially di (hardened tallowalkyl) dimethylammonium salt. As a main component, usually an aqueous dispersion or emulsion of 3 to 15% by weight, which is used for washing and rinsing. However, the rinsing agent may forget to put the softening agent at the time of rinsing, or it may not be necessary to put it in because it takes time and effort to put it in, and the soft finishing of the garment may not be good. For this reason, there is a demand for a softener for clothing that has a sufficient softening effect even if it is put in before or at the beginning of washing and used together with a detergent, not at the time of rinsing.
In response to these demands, there has been a means of granulating conventional softeners and blending them into detergents, and further encapsulating the soft base with a high melting point film, and gradually releasing the soft components at the end of washing and drying. It is considered. However, the former combines with the detergent component to reduce the washing effect and the softening effect, and the latter is effective in a high-temperature washing type washing machine or dryer, but does not exert a sufficient effect in a general washing machine. There was a problem.

The substrate (C) used in the present invention is (A)
The material, shape and the like are not particularly limited as long as they can support the component and the component (B), and examples thereof include a sheet shape and a spherical shape. Sheet-shaped items include cloth, nonwoven fabric, paper,
It is preferable to use a sponge or the like which is easily deformed. Examples of the fibers of the nonwoven fabric include polyester, polyethylene-polypropylene conjugate fibers, polypropylene fibers, pulp, rayon, and nylon fibers. Further, the spherical one may be a porous one such as a sponge or a polystyrene foam, or one in which the spherical one is covered with a cloth or a nonwoven fabric.
The substrate (C) used in the present invention comprises a cloth, a nonwoven fabric, a paper or a sponge, and is preferably in the form of a sheet, particularly preferably a nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 10 to 30 g / m 2 . Substrate (C) on (A)
When carrying the component and the component (B), it is important that the component (A) and the component (B) are not substantially mixed, and the component (A) and the component (B) are separately separated from the substrate (C). ).
Therefore, as an example of the case where the component (A) and the component (B) are supported on the substrate (C), the component (A) and the component (B) are alternately supported on a single sheet in a belt shape, There is a method in which the component (A) and the component (B) are supported on separate sheets. Preferred examples of the supporting method include a dipping method in a bath, a printing method, a spraying method and the like. Also, depending on the material of the substrate, the components (A) and (B) may be mixed and formed during the formation of the substrate, or the components (A) and (B) may be diluted with a volatile solvent, for example, ethanol or the like. It is also possible to use a method in which the solvent is removed after each is carried on the substrate. (A) Ingredients and (B)
The total amount of ingredients is 0.2 to 20 per kg of laundry clothes.

The fabric softener of the present invention comprises the above (A)
It is obtained by coating the substrate (C) supporting the component and the component (B) with a polymer (D) which is substantially soluble in an aqueous solution having a pH of 10 to 11. Preferred examples of the polymer (D) include the following. That is, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, methylcellulose, cellulose derivatives such as ethylcellulose, polymethyl acrylate, polymethyl methacrylate, acrylic acid polymers such as polyacrylic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone polymers, polystyrene sulfonic acid polymers Or salts thereof. When a normal detergent is used, the pH of the washing water is 10 to 11, and it is necessary to use a compound that is substantially soluble in the pH range as the polymer of the component (D), and preferably, in the pH range, It is a polymer that dissolves in the washing time of 10 to 30 minutes. In addition, the component (D) dissolved in the washing liquid has an effect of preventing dirt from adhering to the laundry in the washing process, and thus improves the washing effect.

The fabric softener of the present invention can provide a sufficient softening effect even when used together with a detergent. In particular, in the case of using a fully automatic washing machine that has been rapidly spreading in recent years, a washing effect and a softening effect are developed only by first adding the softening agent of the present invention together with the detergent, and the softening agent used in conventional rinsing is used. Compared to the finishing agent, mistakes caused by forgetting to put in can be prevented, and the trouble of having to add a soft finishing agent at the time of rinsing can be omitted, and troubles in washing and finishing can be eliminated.

[Washing / softening treatment] Using a fully automatic washing machine (4.5 kg for "Shizomae" manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.), 1 kg of cotton towels, 1 kg of acrylic jersey, 5 mud-contaminated cloths, carbon / oil contamination Five cloths, one test sample of the above softening agent, and a commercial detergent "Attack" (Kao Corporation)
Was washed in 3.5 ° DH hard water in a standard cycle. Incidentally, the pH of the washing water was 10.2. The detergency in each case was equal to or greater than when no test sample of fabric softener was used. [Method of Evaluating Flexibility] The cloth treated in the above manner was air-dried in a room and then left in a constant temperature and humidity room at 25 ° C. and 65% RH for 24 hours.
These fabrics were evaluated for flexibility. The evaluation of the softness was carried out by comparing one pair with the fabric softened at the time of rinsing with 10 cc of a softener comprising 15% by weight of dihydrogenated tallow alkyldimethylammonium chloride. The evaluation criteria are expressed as follows. +2; softer than control +1; slightly softer than control 0; same as control -1; control is slightly softer -2; control is softer
