Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 骨折した、ないしは砕けた骨の部分を、治療過程にお
いて、あるいはまたそれ以上の期間にわたって、それら
が合生されるべき、ないしは固定されるべき位置に保持
するためには、固定部材が役立つ。
その部材は、複数の楕円形の穴が設けられた棒状部材
からなる。棒状部材を骨の所望の形状に適合させるため
に、それらの楕円形の穴の間には、低減された断面を有
する部分が設けられ得る。棒状部材は、ネジを骨の中に
捩込むことによって、その骨に固定される。その際、骨
は形状が不規則であり、かつ棒状部材に対して垂直な方
向において十分な断面を有することは極めてまれである
ので、ネジを棒状部材に対して垂直にネジ止めすること
は、ほとんど不可能であるという問題が生じる。
骨が最も大きな断面を有する方向にネジを差込むと、
ネジ頭部の片側のみが棒状部材の楕円形の穴に載置さ
れ、ネジ頭部と棒状部材との間は十分に固定されない。
したがって、この発明の課題は、極めて不規則な形状
の骨であっても十分な固定を可能にする、骨用固定部材
を提供することである。
この発明に従った骨を安定させるための骨用固定部材
は、楕円形の穴を有する棒状部材と、この棒状部材を骨
の部分に固定して骨を安定させるために楕円形穴を貫通
して延びるねじと、スペーサとを備える。ねじは、凸型
球面状底部を持つねじ頭部を有している。スペーサの一
方側は、棒状部材上に載置され、スペーサの他方側に
は、ねじの凸型球面状底部を受けるための凹型球面状く
ぼみが設けられている。スペーサは、棒状部材の長手方
向に延びる側面を越えて突出する形状を有し、かつ棒状
部材の両側面をかかえる肩部を備える。
従属クレームは、この発明のさらなる実施例をその対
象とする。
図において、第１図は、この発明によるスペーサーと
結合されたネジが挿入された、棒状部材の平面図および
側面図を示す。
第２図には、ネジと、スペーサーの一実施例が示され
る。
第３図ないし第５図は、勁椎を固定する固定部材を示
す。
第６図ないし第８図は、スペーサー７のさらなる実施
例を示し、第６図は分解された固定部材の断面図を、第
７図は組立てられた部材の断面図を、第８図は第７図の
平面図を示す。
第１図に示された棒状部材１は、一列に並んだ楕円形
の穴２ないし2nを有する。棒状部材１はそれらの穴の間
に、低減された断面を有する、一列に並んだ部分３ない
し3n-1を有し得、それによって骨の形状への棒状部材の
適合が可能となる（第３図参照）。
挿入されるべき各ネジにはスペーサー７が与えられ、
所望の位置において、棒状部材１の骨に向合わない側に
載置され、ネジ４を受ける働きをする。スペーサーは穴
11を有するが、ネジの軸が可能な限り大きな角度で旋回
し得るように、その穴11は挿入されるべきネジの軸より
も大きい。しかしながらその大きさは、ネジの頭部がそ
の中においてしっかりと保持される程度のものである。
スペーサー７は、その棒状部材１に向合わない側の表面
に、穴11と同心円状の球欠形のくぼみ８を有する。
第２図において個々に示されたネジ４は、その頭部５
の下方面に球欠形の部分６を有し、その部分によって、
スペーサー７の球欠形に形成されたくぼみ８に嵌合す
る。くぼみ８および部分６の半径は互いに一致する。そ
れによって、第１図の下方に示されたように、空間的に
およそ±20度までの角度でネジ４を骨組織内へ捩込むこ
とが可能となる。しかしながら、スペーサー７上のネジ
頭部５はこのスペーサー７を介して棒状部材１上にその
全体が十分に載置されており、これによって、実質的に
改善された固定が行われる。
この発明のさらなる実施例によると、棒状部材１に対
するネジ４の位置は、スペーサー７の下方面および棒状
部材１の上方面に、ある構造を与えることによって保証
される。第１図に示されたように、この構造は棒状部材
１の長手方向に垂直な波形起伏９として形成され得る。
これによって、ネジが閉められた後のスペーサー７お
よびネジ４の移動が確実に妨げられる。
第１図の中央部分には、必要な場合にはネジの楕円形
穴２内における変位が可能であることが示唆されてい
る。
第３図ないし第５図には、勁椎10に取付けられた状態
の、この発明の一実施例が示される。
第３図には、勁椎10の形状に適合させるために、低減
された断面を有する部分３、３′などにおいて曲げられ
た棒状部材１が示される。
第４図は、棒状部材が真直ぐな、一実施例を示す。
第５図は、この発明による部材によって右側および左
側が各々固定された勁椎10の断面を示す。
第６図ないし第８図には、スペーサー７のその他の考
えられ得る形状が示される。
スペーサー７の外郭は棒状部材１の長手方向側面にお
いてこれを越えて突出し、かつ棒状部材１をその両面に
おいて把持する肩部12が設けられる。これによって、ス
ペーサー７は棒状部材１上にさらにしっかりと固定さ
れ、同時に、固定する際にスペーサーが断面方向におい
て変位するのを妨げるので、その操作手順が容易とな
る。

Claims (9)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】楕円形の穴（２）を有する棒状部材（１）
    と、前記棒状部材を骨の部分に固定して骨を安定させる
    ために前記楕円形穴を貫通して延びるねじ（４）と、ス
    ペーサ（７）とを備え、 前記ねじ（４）は、凸型球面状底部（６）を持つねじ頭
    部（５）を有しており、 前記スペーサ（７）の一方側は、前記棒状部材（１）上
    に載置され、 前記スペーサの他方側には、前記ねじの凸型球面状底部
    を受けるための凹型球面状くぼみ（８）が設けられてお
    り、 前記スペーサ（７）は、前記棒状部材の長手方向に延び
    る側面を越えて突出する形状を有し、かつ棒状部材の両
    側面をかかえる肩部（12）を備える、骨を安定させるた
    めの骨用固定部材。
  2. 【請求項２】棒状部材（１）およびスペーサ（７）の相
    対する側に各々ある構造（９）が設けられることを特徴
    とする、請求項１に記載の固定部材。
  3. 【請求項３】前記構造が、棒状部材（１）の長手方向に
    対して垂直に延びる波形起伏（９）からなることを特徴
    とする、請求項２に記載の固定部材。
  4. 【請求項４】前記部材（１）が、低減された断面を有す
    る部分（３−3n-1）を間隔をおいて有することを特徴と
    する、請求項１に記載の固定部材。
  5. 【請求項５】スペーサ（７）が２つの隣接した球形のく
    ぼみを有することを特徴とする、請求項１に記載の固定
    部材。
  6. 【請求項６】スペーサ（７）が長方形の外郭を有するこ
    とを特徴とする、請求項１に記載の固定部材。
  7. 【請求項７】スペーサ（７）が丸い外郭を有することを
    特徴とする、請求項１に記載の固定部材。
  8. 【請求項８】棒状部材（１）の楕円形の穴（２−2n）の
    骨（10）に向けられた側に、傾斜面が設けられることを
    特徴とする、請求項１に記載の固定部材。
  9. 【請求項９】スペーサ（７）の、棒状部材に向けられた
    側には傾斜面が設けられ、かつその反対側には丸みがつ
    けられることを特徴とする、請求項１に記載の固定部
    材。
