部分を示す。1はバルブ、2はバルブに連なる枝管部で
その各両端部に有底円筒型の高融点金属部材8がある。
この部材8を貫通してリード棒3があり、その他端には
それぞれ陽極4、陰極5が接続されている。9は、該リ
ード棒3が貫通している高融点金属板の支持部材で、1
0は該支持部材9を固定している高融点金属コイルであ
る。11はバルブ1と枝管部2との接合部である。接合
作業時のリード棒の酸化を防ぐための保護ガスの種類、
流量を変えて実験を行ったが、ガラスが十分なじむまで
加熱加工するとリード棒3は酸化してしまう。加工時の
バーナーの火力、炎のあて方も種々変えたが結果は同じ
で、リード棒はやはり酸化してしまった。そこで、枝管
部2の内径、肉厚を変えて実験を行ってみた。その結
果、枝管部2の内径が9mmより細くなるとリード棒3
に近くなり酸化してしまう。また、肉厚が7mmより厚
くなると加工時の炎を大きくせねばならず、加工時間も
