Next, the operation will be described. When the cartridge type water tank 1 is set in the state shown in FIG. 4 with respect to the water receiving portion 4, the movable shaft 11 is pushed upward against the biasing spring 13, and the valve 12 opens the water outlet 3. I do. As a result, the water in the water tank 1 passes through the water outlet 3 of the tank cap 2 and enters the water receiving portion 4 and is supplied so as to be maintained at a constant water level. The water in the water receiving section 4 is supplied into the evaporating dish 6 through the rubber hose 5, and the inside of the evaporating dish 6 is also kept at the same water level as the water receiving section 4. The evaporating dish 6 is heated by the heating element 7 and converts water in the evaporating dish 6 into steam. Residues such as calcium precipitated when water is vaporized are adsorbed on the surface of the residue adsorbent 8 installed in the evaporating dish 6. The steam generated by the evaporating dish 6 is discharged to the outside through the steam discharge port 10 through the steam guide tube 9. When the water in the evaporating dish 6 evaporates and the water level drops, the water level in the water receiving part 4 also drops, and when the water level drops to a certain level, a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the water tank 1 is generated. The water in the water tank 1 and the air outside the water tank 1 are exchanged, and the water receiving portion 4 is supplied with water.

In the conventional humidifier described above, the residue for adsorbing the residue deposited in the evaporating dish 6 is used.
The adsorbent 8 is simply combined in a cross shape as shown in FIG.
Since it is only configured, there is a problem that the cleaning and replacement of the residue adsorbent 8 must be performed in a short period of time, and that the vertical use is not easily stabilized due to insufficient strength of the residue adsorbent 8.

[0013] The evaporating dish 6 is heated by the heating element 7 to convert water in the evaporating dish 6 into steam. Residues such as calcium precipitated when water is vaporized are adsorbed on the surface of a residue adsorbent 8 vertically disposed in the evaporating dish 6. The steam generated by the evaporating dish 6 is discharged to the outside through the steam discharge port 10 through the steam guide tube 9. When the water in the evaporating dish 6 evaporates and the water level drops, the water level in the water receiving part 4 also drops, and when the water level drops to a certain level, a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the water tank 1 is generated. Water in tank 1 and water tank 1
The force to replace the outside air works. At this time, an opening 15 having a height difference of the silencer 14 covering the water outlet 3.
When water passes through the openings 16a of the projections 16a and 15b, a pressure loss is generated. Therefore, the flow velocity of the water is greatly reduced, and the interference between water and air at the water outlet 3 is suppressed, which is generated. Reduces junk noise.

FIG. 3 is an assembly view showing the residue adsorber 8.
By dividing the conventional two sheets into one sheet and folding it in two from the central portion, a double surface area is secured while maintaining substantially the same vertical and horizontal dimensions. In addition, the strength of the bent portion is increased, and the strength is increased by doubling the thickness, so that the stability is good even when installed vertically, and the residue adsorbent 8 does not fall down in the evaporating dish 6. . Reference numeral 8a is a through hole formed in the residue adsorber 8 to improve the flow of water.
