Therefore, the electrical box is inevitably large, and the electrical box may occupy almost the entire side surface of the main body. Therefore, the connection port and the drain outlet of the refrigerant pipe led out of the main body are arranged on a surface different from this side surface, and it is necessary to secure a large service space around the main body.

In the air conditioner provided with an electric box that houses therein, the electric box is composed of a front part having a large opening area and an overhanging part formed so as to be connected to the rear of the front part and having a small opening area. The parts that require a lot of service inspection are stored in the overhang, and the parts that do not require a lot of service inspection are stored in the overhang.Only this overhang is inserted and fixed in the opening provided on the side of the main unit. The front part is exposed from the side of the main body.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a main body in which a heat exchanger and a blower are housed. It is stored in the ceiling space 3. Reference numeral 4 denotes an electrical box attached to the side surface 5 of the main body 1. The side face 5 is provided with a connection port 6 for a refrigerant pipe and a service panel 7. By removing the service panel 7, a service check of the drain pump (not shown) stored in the main body 1 can be performed from outside the main body 1.
Reference numeral 8 denotes a suction member attached to a ceiling plate 9, which is connected to a suction side surface 11 of the main body 1 via a suction duct 10.
A blowing member 12 is suspended by the suspending device 2 and attached to the ceiling plate 9, and is connected to the discharge port 14 of the main body 1 via a blowing duct 13. These devices constitute an air conditioner.

Reference numeral 16 denotes an L-shaped angle provided on the side surface. A hanging tool (bolt) 2 is inserted into a hole 17 of the angle, and a nut (not shown) is screwed to a tip of the hanging tool. Reference numeral 18 denotes an opening provided on the side surface 5. 19 is a main drain outlet, and 20 is an auxiliary drain outlet.

It is smaller than 2. The vertical dimension a of this overhang 21
The horizontal dimension b substantially matches the vertical dimension a and the horizontal dimension b of the opening 18. Therefore, the overhang portion 21 of the electrical component box 4 is housed in the opening 18 of the main body 1 (see the dashed line arrow).
Then, the mounting piece 23 of the electrical box 4 and the right side surface 24 of the housing 22 are applied to the side surface 5 of the main body 1 to close the opening 18. The hole 25 of the mounting piece 23 is aligned with the hole 26 provided on the side surface 5 of the main body 1 and fixed with screws. A sealing material (illustrated) is adhered to the side surface 5. Therefore, when the electrical box 4 is attached to the side surface 5, the opening 18 of the side surface 5 is opened.
Is securely sealed by the electrical box 4.

Are arranged on the back side (overhang portion) of the electrical box 4 to facilitate service inspection. Here, as is clear from FIG. 1, the front side (front part) of the electrical component box has a larger opening area than the back side (projection part). And only this overhang is the side surface 5 of the main body 1.
The front of the electrical component box 4 is exposed from the side surface 5 of the main body 1. 3
Reference numeral 2 denotes an opening provided in the left bottom plate of the electrical box 4, and a terminal board 28
And the like are connected to the power supply line. 33 is an electric cover,
The upper end 34 is inserted into the upper groove 35 of the electrical box 4, and the lower end 36 is screwed to the lower part on the left side.

The service panel 7 on the side 5 of the main body 1
The two drain outlets 19 and 20 and the connection port 6 of the refrigerant pipe can be arranged, and the service inspection of the main body 1 can be performed at one place (one side).

Parts that require a lot of inspection are stored in the overhang, and parts that do not require a lot of service inspection are stored in the overhang.Only this overhang is inserted and fixed in the opening provided on the side of the main body.
Since the front part of the electrical box is exposed from the side surface of the main body, the size of the electrical box can be reduced, and the installation space on the side surface of the main body of the electrical box can be reduced. In addition, by reducing the installation space for the electrical box, it is possible to arrange the hanging brackets and other parts of the main body on this side surface, thereby facilitating service inspection of the main body. On the other hand, also in the electrical box, components requiring many service checks are arranged at the front part thereof, so that the service check of the electrical components can be easily performed.
