First, the urethral stent of the present invention is mounted on the outer periphery of the balloon catheter 5 as shown in FIG. 3 so that the space 3 of the urethral stent is positioned at the balloon portion 5a of the balloon catheter 5. Then, the balloon catheter 5 is connected to the urethra 10 as shown in FIG.
The balloon portion 5a is inserted into the bladder 11. In this state, about 5 ml is placed in the balloon catheter 5.
When the water is injected, the balloon portion 5a expands and bulges out of the space 3 of the urethral stent. Then, when the balloon portion 5 is slightly pulled in the removing direction, the balloon portion 5a hits the bladder neck 11a as shown in FIG. 5, so that the position of the bladder neck 11a can be found.
The space 3 of the urethral stent can be positioned on the bladder neck 11a.

When warm water of 35 to 40 ° C. is injected into the bladder 11 through the through hole, this heat is conducted and the urethral stent rises in temperature above the Ms point and changes its shape as shown in FIG. It is located on the bladder neck 11a, and the torso 2 is located on the prostatic urethra 10a. When the balloon catheter 5 is withdrawn from the urethra 10 in this state, the urethral stent of the present invention can be placed in the prostatic urethra of the human body while being extended.

The balloon catheter 5 is inserted from the urethra 10, and the balloon catheter 5 is inserted into the urethral stent placed in the prostatic urethra 10a. Then, when cold water of about 25 ° C. or less is injected into the balloon catheter 5, the cold heat is conducted, and the temperature of the urethral stent, which has been maintained at the body temperature, falls to the Ms point or lower. Then, since the urethral stent of the present invention made of a shape memory alloy undergoes superelastic deformation, it is elongated as shown in FIG. Can be taken out through.
