メルトフローインデックスと言われている。このメルト
フローレートの測定方法は日本工業規格に詳しく規定さ
れている。(JIS K7210-1976) 測定は電熱炉により加熱され垂直に支持された測定シリ
ンダーに樹脂試料を装入し、一定温度下に溶融したもの
にピストンを挿入し、更にピストンには所定の重錘を乗
せて、定温、定圧の下で溶融樹脂を測定シリンダーの下
部に装着されたダイと称するオリフィスから押しだし、
所定時間内に押し出された試料を秤量してメルトフロー
