Abstract

To provide a laundry net that can prevent the laundry to be washed, whether it is a mask or other clothing, from losing its shape by keeping the laundry in its unfolded state.
[Solution] The laundry net 1 is formed by stacking two roughly rectangular mesh-like fabrics 10, 20 and joining their peripheries, with an opening 13 provided in one part of the laundry net 1 so that laundry can be placed inside, and tape snaps (tape fabric with multiple snaps) 11, 12, 21, 22 for fastening laundry are provided vertically on both the left and right ends of the roughly rectangular inside each of the two fabrics 10, 20 (the sides where the two fabrics face each other). As a result, whether the laundry to be washed in the washing machine is a mask or other clothing, it can be fastened in an open state inside the laundry net 1, making it possible to maintain the shape of the laundry and prevent it from losing its shape.

Description

This invention relates to a laundry net that can prevent items that tend to crumple or curl up in the washing machine, such as masks and clothing, from losing their shape.

Traditionally, in Japan, it has been customary to wear masks during influenza season to prevent colds and infection, but since the spread of COVID-19, more people are wearing masks on a daily basis. As a result, there has been an increase in the number of people washing cloth and non-woven masks in the washing machine.

However, when washing cloth or nonwoven masks in a washing machine, even if they are placed in a standard laundry net, there is a problem in that they tend to be biased to one side of the net, or to become crumpled or curled up, losing their shape.
Therefore, in order to solve these problems, various ideas and proposals have been made, such as providing separate storage compartments for masks in laundry nets for masks to prevent them from losing their shape as much as possible (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).

However, with the mask laundry nets described in Patent Documents 1 and 2, for example, even if a mask is placed in the individual storage compartment, there is a risk that the mask will shift to one side, become crumpled, or curl up, losing its shape, making it difficult to securely keep the mask open and in place. Another issue is that, because they are designed exclusively for masks, they cannot be used for clothing that does not fit into the individual storage compartment.

This invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a laundry net that can keep the shape of the laundry being washed, whether it is a mask or other clothing, while it is still spread out, preventing it from losing its shape.

To achieve the above objective, this invention is a laundry net formed by stacking two roughly rectangular mesh fabrics and joining their perimeters. An opening is provided in one part of the laundry net so that laundry can be placed inside, and tape snaps (tape fabric with multiple snaps) are provided vertically on the inside of each of the two fabrics (the sides where the two fabrics face each other) on both the left and right ends of the roughly rectangular shape to fasten the laundry.

With this laundry net, whether the laundry being washed in the washing machine is a mask or other clothing, it can be kept spread out inside the net, helping to maintain the shape of the laundry and preventing it from losing its shape.

This invention relates to a laundry net that can prevent items such as masks and clothes, which tend to crumple or curl up in the washing machine, from losing their shape.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

Figure 1 shows an example of a laundry net in this invention, and is an explanatory diagram showing a mask placed inside. Figure 2 is an exploded view showing the inside of each of the two mesh fabrics that make up the laundry net in this invention. Figure 2(a) shows the inside (inner side) of the roughly rectangular mesh fabric 10 that is layered on the visible front side (upper side) of the laundry net 1 shown in Figure 1, and Figure 2(b) shows the inside (inner side) of the roughly rectangular mesh fabric 20 that is layered (placed on the lower side) on the lower side that is not visible in Figure 1.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, laundry net 1 in this invention is formed by stacking two roughly rectangular mesh-shaped pieces of fabric (fabric 10 and fabric 20) and joining their peripheries. Here, the phrase "joined at the periphery" refers not only to separate pieces of fabric joined by sewing or other means, but also to a situation where one of the four outer edges of the net is joined by connecting the upper and lower pieces of fabric as a single piece of fabric, such as when a single piece of fabric is folded in half and the top and bottom pieces of fabric are overlapping. In other words, laundry net 1 may be formed by stacking two pieces of fabric and then sewing the four outer edges together, or it may be formed by folding a single piece of fabric and sewing only two or three outer edges together.

In addition, a portion of the laundry net 1, that is, in the example of Figures 1 and 2, a zipper-type opening 13 is provided in the vertical section near the center of the upper fabric 10, allowing laundry to be placed inside. Furthermore, on the inside of each of the two roughly rectangular pieces of fabric 10, 20 (the sides where the two pieces of fabric 10, 20 face each other), tape snaps (tape fabric with multiple snaps) 11, 12, 21, 22 for fastening laundry are provided vertically on both the left and right ends of the roughly rectangular shape. Note that in Figure 1, these tape snaps 11, 12, 21, 22 are indicated by dashed lines (the same applies to Figures 3, 5, and 6, described below).

Explaining in more detail, as shown in Figure 2(a), tape snaps 11, 12 (two tape snaps), which are tape fabric with multiple snaps, are provided vertically on both the left and right ends of the upper fabric 10, and as shown in Figure 2(b), tape snaps 21, 22 (two tape snaps), which are tape fabric with multiple snaps, are also provided vertically on both the left and right ends of the lower fabric 20. Here, tape snaps 11 and tape snaps 21 are attached so that one is convex (male) and the other is concave (female), allowing them to be fastened together. Similarly, tape snaps 12 and tape snaps 22 are attached so that one is convex (male) and the other is concave (female), allowing them to be fastened together.

For example, if the laundry item is a mask 30, the string 31 on the left side of the mask 30, shown by the dashed and diagonal lines in Figure 1, can be hooked and secured across multiple snaps, including tape snap 11 and tape snap 21, to fix the position of the mask 30, and the string 32 on the right side of the mask 30 can be similarly hooked and secured across multiple snaps, including tape snap 12 and tape snap 22.This ensures that the mask 30, which is laundry, remains securely spread out inside the laundry net 1, and therefore the shape of the mask 30 can be maintained and prevented from losing its shape even when washed in a washing machine.

The opening 13 for placing laundry inside the net only needs to be located in a "part of the laundry net" and sized to make it easy to put laundry in and take it out. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, it may be located near the center of the approximately rectangular shape, spanning from top to bottom, or alternatively, it may be located near the center of the approximately rectangular shape, spanning from left to right. While it is preferable for it to be located near the center, it may also be located slightly off-center.

In addition, in the examples of Figures 1 and 2, for the sake of simplicity, each of the tape snaps 11, 12, 21, and 22 is shown with nine snaps attached, but by increasing the number of snaps or the size of the roughly rectangular fabric, it is possible to increase the number of masks that can be placed inside if the laundry is masks, and it is also possible to accommodate other large laundry items. When using with masks, it is desirable for the distance between the two snap tapes to be approximately 30 cm.

Figure 3 is an explanatory diagram of another example of a laundry net according to this invention, showing a handkerchief placed inside. The laundry net 2 shown in Figure 3 is formed by stacking two roughly rectangular mesh-like pieces of fabric (fabric 10 and fabric 20) and joining their outer peripheries. A portion of the laundry net 2 (the portion extending vertically near the center of the upper fabric 10) has an opening 13 through which laundry can be placed. Similarly to the laundry net 1 shown in Figure 1, each of the two roughly rectangular pieces of fabric 10, 20 has tape snaps (tape fabric with multiple snaps) 11, 12, 21, and 22 extending vertically on both sides of the rectangular shape on the inside (the sides where the two fabrics 10, 20 face each other) for fastening laundry.

However, the laundry net 2 shown in Figure 3 is provided with laundry clips 41 and 42 at two locations above and below tape snap 11 or 21, and laundry clips 43 and 44 at two locations above and below tape snap 12 or 22. These laundry clips 41-44 are similar to clothespins and can be used to hold laundry in place. Figure 3 shows an example of a laundry item being a handkerchief 40. The four corners of the handkerchief 40, indicated by the dashed and diagonal lines in Figure 3, can be clipped and held in place by the laundry clips 41-44, allowing the handkerchief 40 to maintain its shape and prevent it from losing its shape even when washed in a washing machine. The number of laundry clips is not limited to two (four in total) per pair of tape snaps 11 and 21 (or 12 and 22) as shown in Figure 3; three or more may be provided per tape snap. Note that the laundry clips 41 to 44 in Figure 3 are located inside the laundry net 3, but in Figure 3, the laundry clips 41 to 44 are shown with solid lines and dotted patterns.

In addition, in the laundry net 2 shown in Figure 3, the laundry clips 41 to 44 are described as being fixed to two tape snaps (11 or 21, 12 or 22), but laundry clips that can be removed and attached may also be used.
4 shows an example of a laundry clip 50 with a loop for fastening to a laundry net according to this invention. This laundry clip 50 with a loop can be added as needed to the laundry net 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the laundry net 2 shown in FIG. 3, and the laundry net 3 shown in FIG. 5, which will be described later.

As shown in Figure 4, the loop laundry clip 50 is composed of a pair of clip parts 51, 52 that fasten laundry, and a loop string 53 connected to the base of the clip parts 51, 52. In other words, the loop string 53 of the loop laundry clip 50 is configured like the strap string of the clip parts 51, 52. Therefore, by hooking and securing the loop string 53 of the loop laundry clip 50 to one snap between tape snap 11 and tape snap 21, and one snap between tape snap 12 and tape snap 22, it is possible to create a laundry net with a laundry clip, similar to the laundry clips 41-44 shown in Figure 3.

Furthermore, masks have become more diverse in shape recently, and some face covers have strings like masks but also have a larger piece of fabric at the bottom. However, with a laundry clip 50 with loops like the one shown in Figure 4, the string portion of the face cover can be secured by hooking the string onto multiple snaps on the tape snaps, just like the mask shown in Figure 1, and the cover portion of the face cover (the larger piece of fabric at the bottom) can be secured by fastening the edge of the fabric with the laundry clip, just like the handkerchief shown in Figure 3. In this way, the laundry net of this invention can be used in a variety of ways depending on the user and the item being used.

Figure 5 is an explanatory diagram showing yet another example of a laundry net according to this invention. The laundry net 3 shown in Figure 5 has a similar shape to the laundry net 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2, but this laundry net 3 has a pair of strings (ribbons) 70 attached to its interior, and the two upper and lower edges (top and bottom edges) of the two mesh-like fabrics 10 and 20 that form the laundry net 3 are sewn together with ribbon-like fabric, and a pair of strings (ribbons) 71 and 72 are provided that extend from the ribbon-like fabric to the left and right, longer than the width of the fabrics 10 and 20.

Figure 6 is an explanatory diagram showing the state in which a sweater is folded and placed inside the laundry net 3 shown in Figure 5 and secured with a pair of strings (ribbons) 70, and the state in which the entire laundry net 3 is folded in half and secured with a pair of strings (ribbons) 71, 72. The opening 13 of the laundry net 3 shown in Figures 5 and 6 is a zipper-type opening, just like laundry nets 1 and 2, but as shown in Figures 5 and 6(a), a pair of strings (ribbons) 70 is attached inside. Figure 5 shows the opening 13 in an open state, with a string (ribbon) sewn to the center of the fabric 20 on the back side at the shaded location, and a pair of strings (ribbons) 70 extending to the left and right from there (the pair of strings (ribbons) 70 are pulled out from the opening 13).

Figure 6(a) shows a sweater 60 (shown by a dot-dash line) folded and placed inside the laundry net 3 shown in Figure 5, with the zipper-type opening 13 slightly closed. However, the laundry, such as the sweater 60, placed inside can be tied with a pair of strings (ribbons) 70 before the opening 13 is closed. In this way, by folding the laundry (sweater 60) inside to a size that fits into the laundry net 3, the sweater 60 is less damaged and can be washed thoroughly even when folded. Furthermore, by tying the pair of strings (ribbons) 70, the sweater 60 and other laundry placed inside can be gently secured in place.

Figure 6(b) shows the laundry net 3 as shown in Figure 6(a) folded in half and secured with a pair of strings (ribbons) 71, 72, with laundry such as a sweater 60 placed inside. Because laundry such as a sweater 60 is large but folded before being placed inside, the capacity of the laundry net 3 can be maintained by leaving the tape snaps open and not fastening them. However, in this case, the laundry tends to become unevenly distributed or lose its shape inside the laundry net 3. Therefore, a pair of strings (ribbons) 71, 72 are attached to the four corners of the approximately rectangular laundry net 3, and by tying these strings (ribbons) 71, 72 as shown in Figure 6(b), the laundry placed inside is folded together with the laundry net 3, preventing the laundry placed inside the laundry net 3 from becoming unevenly distributed or losing its shape.

As described above, with laundry nets 1, 2, and 3 of this invention, whether the laundry to be washed in the washing machine is a mask or other clothing, the laundry can be kept spread out inside the laundry net, thereby maintaining the shape of the laundry and preventing it from losing its shape.

A laundry net formed by overlapping two pieces of approximately rectangular mesh fabric and joining their peripheries,
An opening is provided in a part of the laundry net so that laundry can be placed therein;
This laundry net is characterized in that tape snaps (tape fabric with multiple snaps) for fastening the laundry are provided vertically on both the left and right ends of the approximately rectangular shape on the inside of each of the two pieces of fabric (the sides where the two pieces of fabric face each other).
