FIG. 7 shows a sock 51 knitted by a conventional knitting method. FIG. 8 shows the knitting pattern of the sock of FIG. 7, and the figure shown on the left shows the knitting pattern of the knitted fabric that appears on the front side (the side with the upper) when the sock is worn, and the figure shown on the right. Each shows the knitting pattern of the knitted fabric appearing on the rear side (the side with the heel). When the socks 51 are knitted with a flat knit structure composed of the outer surface, the knitted fabric 51f appearing on the front side when wearing the socks is displayed on the rear side using any one of the front and rear needle beds, for example, the needle of the front needle bed. After the knitted fabric 51b is supplied to the needles of the front needle bed by using the needles of the rear needle bed to knit the course of the front knitted fabric 51f, the yarn feeding direction is reversed and the needles of the rear needle bed are formed. And the knitting yarn is alternately supplied to the needles of the front and rear needle beds in a circular manner so that the tubular sock 51 is knitted.

First, knitting of the mouthpiece 53 is started, and subsequently, knitting is performed to the ankle 59 through the inflated shin / shinshin portion 57. During this time, the knitting yarn is fed to the needle of the front needle bed and subsequently to the needle of the rear needle bed, and is knitted in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. Next, at the place where the heel portion 61 is formed, the course knitting of the front knitted fabric 51f is interrupted, and the knitted width of the rear knitted fabric 51b is gradually reduced by turning back knitting to form an inverted triangular shape indicated by reference numeral 61a. Thereafter, the knitting yarn is continuously supplied to the needles of the rear needle bed so that the knitting width is increased again and the knitting yarn is knitted into a triangular shape indicated by reference numeral 61b, thereby forming the heel portion 61. After the knitting of the heel portion 61, the knitting yarn is alternately supplied to the needles of the front and rear needle beds in a circular manner, and the upper portion 63 and the arch portion 65 are knitted, and the knitting up to the toe portion 67 is performed. In the toe portion 67, the stitch formation of the front knitted fabric 51f knitted by the front needle bed is stopped, and the rear knitted fabric 51f is knitted by the rear needle bed.
As shown in the figure, the knitting width of the toe portion 67 following the arch portion 65 of b is gradually reduced, and then the back knitting with the increased knitting width is performed again to perform knitting of the toe portion 67.
Thereafter, the stitches of the front knitted fabric 51f knitted with the stitches of the front knitted fabric 51f and the toe portion 67, which are locked by the needles of the front needle bed, are successively stitched from one knitting width to the other. The toes 67 of the sock 51 knitted in a tubular manner are closed to complete the knitting of the sock. By using a flat knitting machine in this way, there is an advantage that a completely seamless sock can be knitted.

However, when knitting is performed by mixing face and back stitches such as wide ribs to impart elasticity to the sock, the knitted fabric on the front side is used. When knitting the course, the stitches that appear as a stitch on the surface of the knitted fabric when wearing socks are engaged with the needle of the front needle bed as it is, and the stitch that appears as the back stitch is transferred to the opposing rear needle bed, and the knitting yarn is The knitted fabric on the front side is supplied to perform knitting of the knitted fabric on the front side, and after the knitting of the course, the stitches transferred to the back needle bed for backlining are transferred back to the original front needle bed, so that all of the knitted fabric on the front side is front needled. Lock (attached) to the floor. When the subsequent knitted fabric is knitted in a course, the same method as in the knitting of the front knitted fabric is applied. That is, the stitches appearing on the surface of the knitted fabric when the socks are worn are directly engaged with the needles of the rear needle bed, and the stitches appearing as the back stitches are transferred to the opposing front needle bed. Of knitted fabric
After the course knitting, the stitches transferred to the front needle bed to form the back stitch are transferred back to the original rear needle bed, and the entire rear knitted fabric is locked (attached) to the rear needle bed. Using a so-called two-bed flat knitting machine having one set of needle beds at the front and back, attaching the front knitted fabric to the front needle bed and attaching the rear knitted fabric to the needles of the rear needle bed. Thus, a tubular knitted fabric having a rib knitting structure in which the front and back faces are mixed can be knitted. This is disclosed in detail in Japanese Patent Publication No. 3-75656 proposed by the present applicant, and reference is made to it, and description thereof is omitted here. As described above, it is also possible to knit an arbitrary knitting structure into a sock as needed and perform sock knitting with added value.

At the boundary between the rear knitted fabric and the rear knitted fabric 51b, that is, the point where the knitting yarn reverses the yarn feeding direction from the needle of the front needle bed to the needle of the rear needle bed, or vice versa, corresponds to the line 70 with the ankle. There were the following problems to come. The line 70 is arranged so that the stitch at the end of knitting of the course knitting and the stitch at the beginning of knitting of the next knitting are adjacent to each other. Since it is different, adjustment of the knitting machine is required. In addition, when the knitting is performed by attaching the elastic yarn to the ground yarn, the elastic yarn of the additional yarn appears at one of the boundary portions in a conspicuous place on the surface, which impairs the appearance of the sock. In addition, in the case where a knitting pattern such as a rope pattern that intersects the adjacent stitches across the ankle line 70 as one point during sock knitting, the knitting constituting the rope pattern is present over the front and rear needle beds. The data creation becomes complicated and the knitting efficiency may be reduced. Further, as shown in FIG. 9, after the toe portion 67 is knitted following the rear knitted fabric 51b, the back knitted fabric 51b and the front knitted fabric 51f are formed with a bind-off stitch to join them together with a bind-off knitting. The bind-off line 73 appears on the surface side when the sock is worn, which impairs the appearance of the sock.

At the place where the heel part is formed, the knitting of the front knitted fabric is interrupted, the knitted width of the back knitted fabric is turned back, the knitting width is gradually reduced by knitting, and subsequently the knitting width is increased and formed, then through the heel part The portion leading to the toe portion is tubularly knitted, and at the toe portion, the knitted fabric on both sides is moved toward the stitch of about 3 to 8 wales at the center of the toe to reduce the knitting width. after the toe carried out concurrently the inner reduce the outer Herashi was molded into a circular arc shape, closed by the bind-off knitting stitches of the central portion located on toe tip. As a result, the portion where the ankle is located is located within the knitting width and deviates from the reversal position in the yarn feeding direction. After knitting the arch and instep, move the outer knitted fabric to the center side while knitting the toe portion in a tubular shape, reduce the knitting width, and then process the knitted fabric in the center part with a blind stitch 3 provided at the center when wearing
A stitch of about 8 wales fits the thickness of the fingertip moderately.

FIG. 1 is a front view of a high sock 1 as an example of a sock knitted by the knitting method of the present invention. There is no distinction between the right sock and the left sock, and the left and right socks have the same shape. However, here, for convenience of explanation, the socks in FIG. 1 will be described as the right sock. The high socks 1 are bilaterally symmetric when viewed from the front. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a side that appears on the inner crotch side of the high sock 1 shown in FIG. The high socks 1 are composed of a mouthpiece 3, a shank 7 of a shin or inflated shin, an ankle 9, a heel 11, an upper 13 / an arch 15, and a toe 17. The high socks 1 are formed by knitting the whole socks with elastic yarns and elastic yarns to give stretchability to the whole socks and knitting structure of each part.
The mouth 3 is a 1 × 1 rib structure, and the heel 1 after the mouth.
1. The parts excluding the arch 15 and the toe 17 are knitted in a 2 × 2 wide rib structure. In the shank 7, two rows of 2 × 2 rope patterns 27 each composed of a four-wale face are formed as cross patterns. Reference numeral 21 indicates a reduced portion.

The knitted mouth portion 3 is knitted in a tubular shape with the rib knitting structure.
In order to knit the shank 7 following the cuff 3, the stitches are transferred so that 2 × 2 wide ribs and 2 × 2 rope patterns 27 are knitted from 1 × 1 ribs. After doing this transfer,
The knitting of the shading part 7 is supplied to the heel part 11 in a circular manner until the knitting yarn is supplied in a circular shape, and the knitting is performed in a tubular manner. Move the knitted fabric outside the 21 part so that the reduced stitch appears on the 21 part of the sock. The reduction knitting is a reduction course in which the second back rib of the 2 × 2 wide rib is overlapped with the adjacent second face, and the knitting course in which the second face is overlapped with the adjacent second rib of the wide rib after knitting of the subsequent stitch course. It is carried out by 4 places at each place, and 4 wools are reduced,
One unit of the 2 × 2 wide rib is made to disappear from the knitted fabric. At the stage c in FIG. 3, the number of stitches of 32 wales has been reduced from the number of wales at the start of knitting. In this way, reducing the diameter of the barrel of the shin 7 by the eyes increases the fit when wearing socks. In addition, since the stitch size is not gradually reduced as in the related art because the stitch size is reduced, there is no adverse effect on the design of a rope pattern, a wide rib or the like. In the rope pattern forming section 27, the stitches of each two wales crossed for the rope pattern formation are arranged on the same needle bed.

The turn-over knitting is performed by alternately feeding the rear needle bed while inverting it into a C-shape. During this time, the needles that lock the knitted fabric following the upper 13 located on the left side of the front and rear needle beds remain in a rest state and do not knit the course. After the knitting of the heel portion 11 is completed, the knitting yarn is supplied in a circular shape again, and the knitting of the upper portion 13 / the arch portion 15 is performed. Next, in the toe portion 17, knitting is performed to reduce the knitting width together with knitting of the stitch course. In the reduction knitting, the knitted fabrics on both sides are moved toward the stitch 31 in the center, and the knitting width is reduced. The knitting width is gradually reduced, and the knitting width is gradually reduced. By performing the operations in parallel, the reduction ratio is increased, and the knitting is repeated so that the stitches of the knitted fabrics on both sides are brought close to the stitches 31 at the center to form the toe portion in an arc shape. It is preferable to provide a stitch of about 3 to 8 wales as the stitch 31 at the center, and in the present embodiment, 4 stitches are used at 7 gauge. After the above reduction, toe tip 1
The stitch knitting is performed on the stitch 31 at the center located at 7a, the toe portion 17 is closed, and the knitting yarn is prevented from unraveling, thereby completing the knitting of the high socks 1. Reference numeral 32 in the drawing indicates a bind-off line. FIGS. 5 and 6 show the toe portion 17 of the sock 1 knitted in this manner. FIG. 5 shows an enlarged view of the toe portion of FIG. 2, and FIG. 6 shows an enlarged view of the toe portion 17 viewed from above when worn. By knitting the toe portion 17 in this manner, the stitch 31 provided at the center portion at the time of wearing appropriately fits the thickness of the fingertip, and the bind-off line 32 appears at the tip of the toe, so that the appearance at the time of wearing is not impaired. .

The part leading to the part is tubular knitted, so the ankle part that is conspicuous when wearing socks does not reverse the yarn feeding direction, so the appearance may be impaired like a conventional heeled sock in this part Absent. Furthermore, in the toe, the center
The stitches of about 3 to 8 wales are closed by the off-set knitting, so the 3 to 8 wales provided at the center when worn are used.
The stitches of the order of magnitude fit into the thickness of the fingertips moderately and the protruding stitch line appears on the tip end side of the toe, so that problems such as the conventional socks can be solved without impairing the appearance when worn.
