Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a technique for temporarily protecting a painted surface from rain, splashed pebbles, salt damage, etc., when transporting a finished vehicle that has been painted and assembled or exporting it overseas. For example, a technique as disclosed in JP-A-3-267171 is known. In this method, instead of applying wax or the like to the painted surface of the completed car and protecting it,
A plastic film having a peelable pressure-sensitive adhesive is attached to cover the vehicle body. For example, after thermoplastic resin is softened, it is adhered to the upper surface of the vehicle body using a vacuum and protected. Like that.

A protective film is stuck to a part that does not need to be protected, such as a rear window, which raises a problem of increased cost. In addition, even if such a protective film is transparent, when mounted on a truck such as a car carrier, a ship, or the like, the visibility may not be sufficiently obtained when attempting to mount the film by self-propelled driving. In the case of a film having a layer, the field of view is extremely limited, which may cause danger. Also, in order to secure such a field of view, it is not possible to use a colored film such as white or black, which is effective in protecting the coating film. An extra process such as cutting was required, which increased the cost. Furthermore, the film end portion is only adhered in a state of being wound on the back side of the front and rear end portions such as a bonnet or the like, and its adhesive force is also weak, and the above-mentioned vacuum-based adhesion is not strong. Therefore, there is a problem that the film is easily peeled off during transportation. When rain and wind hit the peeled portion, the film gradually turned up, exposing the area to be protected, and could not fulfill its original purpose.

By applying a coating width that is not affected by the above, and spray-applying the strippable paint in a range narrower than the range to be protected, the efficiency of the coating operation can be improved, and the subsequent operation steps can be simplified. In other words, if you try to apply the strippable paint over the entire area of the coating surface to be protected, the spray dust adheres to the front grille or small gaps, making it difficult to remove, and masking measures are required.
While problems arise in workability and cost, work efficiency is poor if an attempt is made to apply the entire area to be protected with a roller or brush.

It is also conceivable to cut the film according to the shape of the area to be protected, such as a door or a fender, and to stick it only at a truly necessary place.

It is necessary to devise it so that it does not easily come off.

For example, if it gets into and adheres to a gap in a front grill or the like, it is almost impossible to remove it later. Therefore, measures such as masking are required for such portions in advance, which leads to a significant increase in cost.

A range of a certain width as indicated by hatching along the outer peripheral edge of the trunk portion 4 is coated with a stripper paint by a coating method that does not involve dust such as a roller or a brush to form a coating layer a, and then, or Before that, a coating layer b is formed by spray-coating the inside surrounded by hatching (portions indicated by dots in the figure), and between the coating layer a by a roller or the like and the coating layer b by spray coating as shown in FIG. At this time, if an airless type coating gun is used, the spray dust is small, and the film thickness can be increased by one spraying, so that the working efficiency is improved and it is convenient.

A reliable protective layer can be formed at a necessary place by the strippable paint. or,
The cost can be reduced by not forming a protective layer in unnecessary places. In addition, by combining the application using a roller or the like and the spray application, unnecessary application in a subsequent process can be efficiently performed.
