うことがわかったのは意外であった。

ときには、システムを通過する流体はジグザグな経路を
横切り、したがって、この実施例はせん孔内への砂の流
入を防ぐのに適している。

なるように、選択することができる。この場合、拡張し
たスロット付きライナはせん孔の壁に対して圧縮され、
これによってせん孔の安定性がさらに増す。

Claims (5)
- 【請求項1】地下の地層のせん孔に無ケーシング部分を
設けるための方法であって、 (a)せん孔の所定の位置に、ライナを置くステップ
と、 (b)ライナを固定するステップと、 (c)ライナ内を移動する方向に先細である拡張マンド
レルを、ライナ内を移動させるステップと を含む、地下の地層においてせん孔に無ケーシング部分
を設けるための方法であって、 ライナが重複する縦スロットを有するスロット付きライ
ナであり、マンドレルがスロット付きライナの内径より
大きな最大直径を有し、スロットが拡張することを特徴
とする方法。 - 【請求項2】前記のステップ(a)が、それぞれ重複す
る縦スロットを備える、入れ子式に配置された2つ以上
のスロット付きライナから成るシステムをせん孔中の所
定の位置に設置するステップを含む請求の範囲第1項に
記載の方法。 - 【請求項3】スロット付きライナの外表面が覆いを備え
ている請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 - 【請求項4】最も外側のスロット付きライナの外表面が
覆いを備えている請求の範囲第2項に記載の方法。 - 【請求項5】前記のステップ(c)が、外側に湾曲する
フィンガを有する円筒状ハウジングと、フィンガを外側
に湾曲させるために円筒状ハウジングの中に軸方向の遊
びをもって配置された円錐体からなる、拡張マンドレル
を、スロット付きライナ内を移動させるステップを含む
請求の範囲第1項から第4項のいずれか一項に記載の方
法。
