【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、金属製の操作レバ
ーに樹脂キャップを取付ける構造に関する。

【従来技術】従来より、金属製の操作レバーの操作部に
樹脂キャップを取付け、手操作しやすくしたものが使用
されている。自動車を例にとると、フード、トランク、
給油口等を開扉するための操作レバーがあげられる。従
来、このようなレバーは、インサート成形により金属製
レバーに樹脂キャップ部を一体的に成形するか、または
レバーに別体の樹脂キャップを装着・固定する方法で作
られていた。前者の場合は、インサート成形の成形費用
が大であり、成形時にバリが発生し、その除去に多大な
労力を必要とするという難点があった。後者の場合は、
図5に示すようにレバーAの平板状の挿入端部Bをキャッ
プDの差込溝Eに挿入するとき、レバーAの挿入端部Bに設
けた爪部CはキャップDの差込溝Eに設けた係止溝Fに嵌合
し、抜け止めの役割をしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】従来公知の図5のもの
では、キャップDをレバーAに挿入する時、レバーAの爪
部CがキャップDの差込溝Eを押しひろげながら浸入する
が、差込溝Eの爪部Cが通過した部分は爪部Cにより削ら
れて溝幅が大きくなってしまい、レバーAとキャップDと
の間にガタが生じてしまう。このため、キャップDを手
操作するときのフィーリングが良くなく、また、著しい
場合はキャップDがレバーAから抜けてしまうという課題
があった。本発明は前記の課題を解決しようとするもの
である。

【発明の実施の形態】本発明を図により説明すると、1
は金属製のレバー、7は樹脂製のキャップである。レバ
ー1の挿入端部2は平板状となっており、図2において
上下方向が幅を示し、紙面に対して垂直方向が厚みを示

かける操作部である。11は肉抜部であり、キャップの
外側にヒケが生じないようにするとともに差込溝8の壁
15が弾性変形しやすくしている。図2はレバー1の端
部2をキャップ7の差込溝8に挿入し終えた状態を示
し、レバー1の爪部4はキャップ7の係止溝9に入り込
み、突部6は差込溝8の壁15に当接している。

央位置に爪部4を設け、キャップ7の端面10に近い位
置に突部6を設けると、端部2を差込溝8に挿入しやす
く、かつ、挿入後のガタつきを完全に防止できる。係止

ると、係止溝9のコーナ部13が爪部4の傾斜面5にく
い込むため、左右方向、上下方向のガタがよりいっそう
押さえられる。レバー1の爪部4および突部6の高さ
は、キャップ7の樹脂材料の種類や壁14、15の厚み
等により適宜決める。
