ーサを介装するようにしたものが知られている。しかし
ながら、このような形態にあっては、追加あるいは変更
する変速装置の仕様に応じてスペーサを介装するだけの
ものであったので、スペーサ自体の重量が重くなったり
大きさも必要以上に大きなものになって製造コストが高
くなる欠点があった。 【0003】 【課題を解決するための手段】この発明は、前記問題点
を解消することを目的として提案するものであって、こ
のため、次のような技術的手段を講じた。即ち、内周に
キー溝6,7,8を有する複数個の変速ギヤ1,2,3
を変速軸4の軸方向に並べて回転自在に遊嵌し、前記変
速軸4と平行な車軸15には変速軸4上のギヤ1,2,
3に常時噛合うギヤ16,17,18を車軸15に固着
して設け、変速軸4の軸芯方向に沿ってスライドさせる
変速キー5をいずれか1つの変速ギヤ1,2,3のキー
溝6,7,8に係合させて変速を行なわせるよう構成し
歩行型芝刈機の変速伝動装置において、前記変速軸4
および車軸15を支えるギヤケース9,10を変速軸4
と直交する縦方向に分割して割面11,12を形成して
設け、一方のギヤケース10には変速軸4に対して直交
する方向の入力軸19を支持して設け、このギヤケース
10と反対側のギヤケース9との間には、追加若しくは
取り去る変速ギヤ幅に対応させた幅を有するスペーサケ
ース13を介在させて変速段数を増加、もしくはスペー
サケース13を取り外して変速段数を減少させるように
構成したことを特徴とする歩行型芝刈機の変速伝動装置
の構成とする。 【0004】 【作用、及び発明の効果】変速を行なう場合には、変速
キー5を変速軸4の軸芯方向に移動させていずれか1つ
のキー溝に係合させる。変速キー5の係合されたキー溝
6〜8の変速ギヤ1〜3が、この変速軸4と一体回転さ
れて変速伝動を行う。図例のように3段の変速ギヤ1〜
3を設けて、スペーサケース13を介装している場合、
変速段数を減らすときは、この変速ギヤ3を変速軸4か
ら外すと共に、スペーサケース13もギヤケース9,1

9,10によって変速軸4と車軸15を支える点や、片
側のギヤケース10で入力軸19を支持する点は変速段
数の変更前後で変わらないので、歩行型芝刈機全体のイ
メージは変わらず、この変更によって歩行型芝刈機の製
造コストが高くなることはない。 【0006】 【実施例】ハンドモーアの走行伝動装置においてこの発

る。この変速ギヤ1〜3の内周部には、変速キー5の係
合されるキー溝6〜8が形成されて、この変速キー5と
係合された変速ギヤ1,2、又は3が変速軸4と一体回
転される。又、各変速ギヤ1,2のキー溝6,7の軸方
向側には、隣接の変速ギヤの側面に摺接して所定の間隔
を維持する筒状のカラー部29を有し、このカラー部2
9の内周部には変速キー5の位置されるニュートラル部
30が空胴として形成され、変速キー5がこのニュート
ラル部30に位置されるときは、いずれの変速ギヤ1〜
3も伝動回転されない。 【0009】ギヤ16〜18は、各々ピン31で車軸1
5と一体であり、内周面にはピン31の係合されるピン
溝32が形成されている。上記のような各変速軸4、車
軸15、及び入力軸19等を軸装するギヤケース9,1
