ールドトンネルに用いるセグメントは、一般の円形シー
ルドトンネルのセグメントと異なり、主桁が曲げ部材と
なる。そのために曲げに対して十分な剛性を備えたセグ
メントの継手方法の開発が必要となっている。 【0004】本発明は上記したような従来の問題を解決
するためになされたもので、曲げに対して十分な耐力を
持つ、鋼製セグメントの継手方法を提供することを目的

するために、本発明の鋼製セグメントの継手方法は、セ
グメントの接合面の端板を、中立軸よりも上方のみに設
置した鋼製セグメントを使用し、接合に際しては、セグ
メントの中立軸よりも上方の端板は相互に短ボルトによ
って接合し、中立軸よりも下方の開放部には、トンネル
の中心軸方向と直交する主桁のウェブに添接板の一端を
ボルトで固定し、添接板の他端を、隣接するセグメント
の主桁のウェブにボルト止めし、さらに両セグメントの
主桁下フランジを添接板を用いてボルト止めして行う、
