Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a device for supporting a vehicle spare tire. 2. Description of the Related Art A support device for a vehicle spare tire generally includes a carrier provided on the back of the vehicle, and a plurality of carrier bolts provided on a mounting plate portion of the carrier and projecting rearward. With each of these carrier bolts inserted into a mounting hole provided in the wheel of the spare tire, a hub nut is screwed onto the tip of each of the carrier bolts, so that the carrier bolts are fixedly mounted on the carrier. . [0003] In order to mount a spare tire on a carrier using the supporting device having such a configuration, all the mounting holes of the wheel of the spare tire are inserted into each carrier bolt on the carrier side while the spare tire is lifted. At the same time, it is necessary to simultaneously insert each carrier bolt into each mounting hole in this state. In this case, since the spare tire is very heavy, the work of positioning the spare tire on each carrier bolt and the work of mounting the spare tire on each carrier bolt require a great deal of labor and time. The tire wheel may be damaged by the tip of the carrier bolt. Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 2-120294 proposes a support device for a spare tire that should address these problems. [0004] The support device for a spare tire includes a hanger member rotatably mounted on a mounting plate portion of the carrier and penetrating through a through hole provided in the mounting plate portion so as to advance and retreat.
When mounting the spare tire on the mounting plate of the carrier, the spare tire is supported on the hanger member with the hanger member inserted through the hub hole provided in the center of the wheel of the spare tire. Have been. [0005] In the support device for the spare tire,
When mounting the spare tire on the carrier, first support the spare tire on the hanger member, and then rotate the spare tire in the circumferential direction on the hanger member and position each mounting hole with respect to each carrier bolt on the mounting plate side. Then, after the positioning, a means is employed in which the spare tire is slid on the hanger member to insert each carrier bolt into each mounting hole. Thereby, at the time of positioning the spare tire with respect to each carrier bolt and at the time of attaching the spare tire to each carrier bolt, the heavy labor of lifting the spare tire and maintaining the lifted state of the spare tire during these operations is released. Things. As described above, in the spare tire supporting apparatus, the spare tire is positioned with respect to each carrier bolt on the mounting plate side of the carrier, and then the spare tire is hanger-mounted. Means of sliding each carrier bolt through each mounting hole by sliding on the member is adopted,
Since the wheel thickness of a spare tire is not very large, the sliding contact surface between the inner peripheral surface of the hub hole of the wheel and the upper surface of the hanger member is small, and the heavy weight of the spare tire acts on the sliding contact surface. Therefore, it is difficult to smoothly slide the spare tire on the hanger member, and when the spare tire is slid on the hanger member, there is a problem that the sliding contact surface between them is damaged. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to eliminate these disadvantages. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention comprises a carrier provided on the back of a vehicle, and a plurality of carrier bolts provided on a mounting plate of the carrier and projecting rearward. The spare tire is fastened and fixed to the carrier by screwing a hub nut to the tip of each of the carrier bolts in a state where the bolts are inserted through the mounting holes provided in the wheel of the spare tire. In the support device for a vehicle spare tire, a through hole is provided in an intermediate portion of a mounting plate portion of the carrier for each carrier bolt, and the spare tire is provided in the through hole in the center of the wheel of the spare tire. A support member that is supported in a state of being inserted into the hub hole that is inserted into the hub hole so as to be movable for a predetermined length in the front-rear direction, and a mounting plate for the carrier. A rail member on which the support member is slidably fitted is provided so as to protrude forward, and when the spare tire is mounted on the carrier, the spare tire is rotatable in a circumferential direction on the support member. The rail member is configured to be supported movably in the front-rear direction on the rail member integrally with the support member. In the spare tire supporting device constructed as described above, when the spare tire is mounted on the mounting plate portion of the carrier, the spare tire is mounted on the through hole of the mounting plate portion and fitted to the rail member. The spare tire is once supported on the support member. Then, while rotating the spare tire in the circumferential direction on the support member, each mounting hole of the spare tire is positioned so as to face each carrier bolt on the mounting plate portion side, and the support member supporting the spare tire is replaced with the spare member. Slide each carrier bolt through each mounting hole by sliding forward on the rail member with the tire, and finally screw a hub nut onto the tip of each carrier bolt and advance it to tighten the wheel of the spare tire By fixing to the mounting plate, the spare tire is mounted on the carrier. In the spare tire supporting device, the spare tire once supported on the support member is positioned with respect to each carrier bolt, and then when the carrier bolt is inserted into each mounting hole. Since the support member supporting the spare tire is slid on the rail member together with the spare tire without being slid on the support member, the inner peripheral surface of the hub hole of the spare tire slides on the support member. No damage is caused by contact. Further, since the supporting member and the rail member have a predetermined length and their sliding contact surfaces are considerably large, the load per unit area from the spare tire on the sliding contact surfaces of both is not so large, The sliding of the member on the rail member is performed smoothly, and damage to the sliding contact surface between them is also prevented.
