砕する厨芥処理装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】厨芥処理装置は、厨房の流し台の下に取
り付けられ、回転刃と固定刃によって生ゴミなどの厨芥
を粉砕した後、汚水とともに排水路を介して下水管に流
すよう構成されている。この種の厨芥処理装置は、腐敗
しやすい厨芥を処理するために悪臭を防ぐための工夫が
なされている。例えは、厨芥処理装置から粉砕した厨芥
を流すための排水路にU字型のトラップを設け、下水管
から上がって来る悪臭を遮断している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかし、従来の厨芥処
理装置の悪臭防止対策は、下水管から上がって来る悪臭
を遮断することができるが、厨芥処理装置内部や排水路
の連絡管で発生する悪臭は防ぐことができないという問
題点がある。すなわち、セロリやトウモロコシの皮のよ
うに繊維分の多い厨芥を比較的多量に処理した後などに
は、厨芥処理装置の固定刃や排出口付近に繊維が引っ掛
かることがある。また、タマネギの皮のような薄皮の厨
芥の場合は、連絡管や厨芥処理装置の内壁などに付着す
ることがある。このような厨芥を放置すると腐敗して悪
臭が発生し衛生上好ましくない。従来はこのような悪臭
を防ぐための積極的な対応はあまりなされていなかっ
た。
【0004】本発明は、このような従来の問題点を解決
するためになされたもので、厨芥処理装置内や排水路の
連絡管などに引っ掛かったり付着する厨芥を洗浄する機
能を持った厨芥処理装置を提供することを目的としてい
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の厨芥処理装置
は、排水路に切替弁を設け、この切替弁に、排水路側か
ら厨芥処理装置内に洗浄用の逆洗水を流すための逆洗用
流路を接続している。

【作用】前記した構成により、切替弁を操作し、逆洗水
を通常の汚水の流れとは逆方向に逆洗管から厨芥処理装
置内に導入する。それと同時に厨芥処理装置の回転板を
逆回転させて一定時間保持し、厨芥処理装置内や排出口
付近、連絡管に付着した厨芥を洗い落とす。一定時間
後、再び三方切替弁を切替えて逆洗管からの逆洗水をス
トップするとともに、厨芥処理装置内および排水路に溜
まった逆洗水と残留した厨芥を排出する。このように、
逆洗水で厨芥処理装置内や排水路を洗浄することによっ
て、排出口や固定刃に引っ掛かった厨芥ばかりでなく、
厨芥処理装置の内壁に付着した厨芥をきれいに洗浄する
ことができる。

【実施例】以下に本発明の一実施例を図面に基づいて説
明する。図1は本発明の厨芥処理装置の一実施例の概略
図、図2は図1のAーA線断面図である。これらの図に
おいて、1は流し台2の底板などに設けられた厨芥処理
装置であり、この厨芥処理装置1の内部には、図示して
いないが、回転駆動装置である電動機が密閉収納され、
この電動機の回転軸3に回転板4が固定され、この回転
板4上に一対の回転刃5が取り付けられ、前記回転板4
の外周部に嵌め込まれたリング状の固定刃6と前記回転
刃5とにより厨芥を粉砕している。
【0008】厨芥処理装置1と下水管(図示せず)とは
排水路7で連通している。すなわち、厨芥処理装置1の
側壁8に連絡管7Aが接続し、この連絡管7Aに排水管
7Bが接続している。連絡管7Aと連絡管7Bとの間に
は電動式の三方向切替弁9が接続している。ただし、切
替弁は、三方向切替弁9に限定されない。この三方向切
替弁9には逆洗管10が接続し、水道水などを供給する
ための給水口と連通している。この逆洗管10の途中に
は汚水が逆流することがないように逆止弁11が設けら
れている。
