【産業上の利用分野】本発明は美白作用が高く、安全性
の高い化粧品に関する。

【従来の技術】コウスイガヤ(Cymbopogon nardus)は
単子葉植物網、いね目、イネ科、オガルカヤ属の植物で
蚊の防虫剤、香料、石鹸の原料とされ南アフリカでは駆
虫剤、風邪の治療薬、解熱剤に使われている。
【0003】デスモディウム ガンゲチクム(Desmodiu
m gangeticum)は双子葉植物網、離弁花亜網、ばら目、
マメ科、ヌスビトハギ属の植物で、無月経、腹痛、治療
薬として用いられている。
【0004】フウセンカズラ(Cardiospermum halicaca
bum)は双子葉植物網、離弁花亜網、むくろじ目、ムク
ロジ科、フウセンカズラ属の植物で南アフリカ原産のつ
る性の1年草であるが本来は多年草で黄疸、淋病、疱
疹、蛇の咬傷などの治療薬に用いられてきた。
【0005】ムラヤ コエニギイ(Murraya koenigii)
は双子葉植物網、離弁花亜網、ふうろそう目、ミカン科
の植物でインドやスリランカに分布し、乾燥した低地に
普遍的に見られる。薬用としては便秘、腹疝痛、下痢等
に用いられてきた。
【0006】スミラックス ゼイラニカ(Smilax zeyla
nica)は単子葉植物網、ゆり目、ユリ科、シオデ属の植
物で性病、赤痢、リウマチの治療薬として利用されてい
た。
【0007】一方、化粧料の原料として使用できる美白
作用のある物質としては種々の物質が知られているが、
合成品は、長期間人間の肌に適用した場合の安全性の保
証がなく、使用が制限されつつある。一方、天然物では
美白作用が弱いものが多い。しかし人の肌に対する安全
性の面から天然物で、多年、人が食したりして、安全性
の面で保証されており、しかも美白作用が強く、更に皮
膚に対する他の効果も合せてもつ物質が望まれていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明の目的は、皮膚
に適用して安全であると共に、美白作用が大きく且つ安
全性に優れている化粧料を得ることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明者らは、前記の課
題を解決するため、すでに多年にわたって食用に供さ
れ、人体に対する安全性が確認されている植物をスクリ
ーニングして調べ、化粧品として利用価値のあるものを
検討した。その結果、コウスイガヤ、デスモディウム
ガンゲチクム、フウセンカズラ、ムラヤ コエニギイ、
スミラックス ゼイラニカが非常に化粧品原料として、
或いは医薬部外品としての有効性を有することを見い出
した。
【0010】 すなわち本発明は、ムラヤ コエニギイ
(Murraya koenigii)、スミラックス ゼイラニカ(Sm
ilax zeylanica)よりなる群より選んだ少なくとも1
種の溶媒抽出物を含む化粧料である。
【0011】これらの植物の利用方法としては、水或い
は親水性有機溶媒例えば、エタノール、メタノール、ア
セトン等で抽出する。しかしながら、化粧品原料の抽出
であるから、水或いはエタノール或いはこれの混合溶媒
での抽出が好ましいのは当然である。また、場合によっ
ては、グリセリン、1,3ブチレングリコール、プロピ
レングリコール等の多価アルコール又は多価アルコール
と水の混液も抽出に利用できる。またさらに凍結乾燥し
て粉体として利用することも利用方法によっては有効で
ある。
【0012】この物質を他の化粧品原料例えばスクワラ
ン、ホホバ油等の液状油、ミツロウ、セチルアルコール
等の固体油、各種の活性剤、グリセリン、1,3ブチレ
ングリコール等の保湿剤や各種薬剤等を添加してさまざ
まな剤形の化粧料を調製することができる。例えばロー
ション、クリーム、乳液、パック等で目的に応じて利用
形態を考えればよい。

【実施例】以下に実際の利用方法である実施例を記載す
るが、本発明はこの実施例によって何ら限定されるもの
ではない。本発明で使用したコウスイガヤ、デスモディ
ウム ガンゲチクム、フウセンカズラ、ムラヤ コエニ
ギイ、スミラックス ゼイラニカの抽出物の製造例を次
に示す。
【0014】(製造例1)コウスイガヤの根茎(乾燥
品)を10gに50%エタノール300mlを加えて時々
撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過後凍結乾燥し
た。
【0015】(製造例2)デスモディウム ガンゲチク
ムの全草(乾燥品)を10gにエタノール300mlを加
えて時々撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過後凍結
乾燥した。
【0016】(製造例3)デスモディウム ガンゲチク
ムの全草(乾燥品)を10gに50%エタノール水溶液
300mlを加えて時々撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これ
を濾過後凍結乾燥した。
【0017】(製造例4)フウセンカズラの全草(乾燥
品)を10gに50%エタノール水溶液300mlを加え
て時々撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過後凍結乾
燥した。
【0018】(製造例5)ムラヤ コエニギイの枝(乾
燥品)を10gにエタノール300mlを加えて時々撹拌
しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過後凍結乾燥した。
【0019】(製造例6)ムラヤ コエニギイの枝(乾
燥品)を10gに50%エタノール水溶液300mlを加
えて時々撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過後凍結
乾燥した。
【0020】(製造例7)スミラックス ゼイラニカの
根(乾燥品)を10gにエタノール300mlを加えて時
々撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過後凍結乾燥し
た。
【0021】(製造例8)スミラックス ゼイラニカの
根(乾燥品)を10gに50%エタノール水溶液300
mlを加えて時々撹拌しつつ5日間放置した。これを濾過
後凍結乾燥した。

には比較例のローションとクリームをセットにして使用
してもらった。なお比較例1は参考例1の製造例1の抽
出物を水にかえたローション、比較例2は参考例2の製
造例2の抽出物を水にかえたクリームである。毎日、1
回以上使用してもらって、3月後下記の判定基準により
評点を出してもらった。なお、20名を4班にわけ、下
記の試料を使って実験した。
