Claims (2)
柱状の電極が出退自在に挿入され、消耗に応じて電極を
炉内に突出する電極送り装置の把持具により電極の基端
側が保持され、消耗した既設電極の基端部に新設電極の
先端部を接続する時に既設電極の姿勢を補正するための
溶融炉における電極保持装置であって、 前記把持具を、固定受け部材とこの固定受け部材に接近
離間自在な可動押さえ部材により構成し、 前記電極挿入孔と把持具との間に、前記固定受け部材と
可動押さえ部材による把持方向と直交する方向にクラン
プ部材を接近離間させて電極を挟持するクランプ手段
と、前記クランプ部材を電極挿入孔と把持具の中心線上
に付勢する補正用付勢手段とを具備する補正クランプ装
置を設けたことを特徴とする溶融炉における電極保持装
