フロントカバーは、当初は取付穴が設けられておらず、
かごを取付けるとき後加工で刃物等を用いて取付穴を開
口形成しなければならず、このとき刃物で取付穴の周囲
を傷付けないように慎重に作業する必要がある。したが
ってこの作業は熟練を要し、かつ比較的非効率なもので
あった。そこで本発明はこれらの問題を解決するもので
ある。 【0004】 【課題を解決するための手段】上記の問題を解決するた
め、本願に係る自動2輪車用フロントカバーは、車体の
前部を覆うフロントカバーと、このフロントカバーの内
側に車体から突出して設けられた、かご取付用のブラケ
ットとを備え、フロントカバーに設けた取付穴を介して
かごを前記ブラケットへ取付けることにより、フロント
カバーの表面側にかごを設けることができるようにした
ものにおいて、前記かごを取付ける前の当初状態におけ
る前記フロントカバーは、前記取付穴に相当する部分を
塞ぐ除去部と、この除去部の周囲に形成されたリング状
の弱体部と、前記除去部から突出して前記ブラケットへ
当接する突出部とを一体に備え、前記弱体部の外側を厚
肉部とするとともに、前記取付穴を形成するときは、前
記弱体部の外側部分を車体内方へ押すことにより、前記
ブラケットへ当接した前記突出部の突っ張りで前記除去
部を前記弱体部から分離させるようにしたことを特徴と
する。 【0005】 【作用】かごを取付けるために取付穴を形成する場合、
まず除去部に対して弱体部の外側部分のフロントカバー
車体内方へ押す。すると、除去部と一体の突出部の先

去部がフロントカバーから分離される。そこで除去部を

き、除去部に突出部を設けたので、押す方向に対して除
去部のみを変形阻止できる。しかも除去前の当初状態で
は、突出部のブラケットに対する当接により、フロント
カバーが振動等によって変形することを阻止するための
フロントカバー支持部としても機能できる。また、弱体
部を破断させるために押す部分はその外側の広い部分に
なるので、押す場所の自由度が大きくなり、かつ大きな
力でフロントカバーの弱体部外側部分をより大きく弾性
変形させることができるから、除去作業が容易である。
さらに、弱体部の外側部分を厚肉部にしたので、弱体部
との強度差を大きくして分離を容易にし、分離時の影響
が周囲へ生じないようにする。そのうえ、除去部を残し
てその周囲を車体内側へ押し込むから、分離された除去
部は周囲から車体外方へ突出することになり、フロント
カバーの内側へ脱落することがないから、取り去りが容
易になる。したがって、取付穴を効率よく形成できるこ

するとともに、前記取付穴を形成するときは、前記弱体
部の外側部分を車体内方へ押すことにより、前記ブラケ
ットへ当接した前記突出部の突っ張りで前記除去部を前
記弱体部から分離させるようにしたことを特徴とする自
