【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、コレステロール低下作
用を有する羅布麻の葉をばい煎したお茶(以下、羅布麻
茶という。)に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】羅布麻(学名:Apocynum venetum L.)
は、中国に広く分布しているキョウチクトウ科の多年生
宿草本(草本とは、俗に”草”と呼ばれているもの)植
物である。中国では、古来より羅布麻の葉をお茶の葉の
代わりとして利用しており、また、その羅布麻茶は、解
熱などの民間薬としても利用されている。さらに、中国
の複数の研究機関が民間薬として利用されている羅布麻
葉について医学的および薬学的に研究を重ねており、そ
の結果、高血圧、心不全、気管支炎、水腫等に有効であ
ることが報告されている。一方、日本においても羅布麻
茶は、例えば、商品名:燕龍茶として市販されており、
いろいろな作用を持つお茶として注目されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】高コレステロール血症
の治療には、種々の医薬が使用されているが、お茶の1
種である羅布麻茶が高コレステロール血症に対して、特
に、LDL-コレステロール値を低下させると同時に、HDL-
コレステロール値を上昇させ、動脈硬化の指標である動
脈硬化指数を低下させることは知られていない。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明者等は、羅布麻葉
の循環器系に及ぼす効果に着目し、高コレステロール血
症に及ぼす効果を検討した結果、羅布麻茶が、コレステ
ロール低下作用を有することを見出し、本発明を完成す
るに至った。また、羅布麻葉は、お茶以外に、エキス、
粉末等の形態で食品に利用することができる。
【0005】
【実施例】つぎに、本発明の羅布麻茶のコレステロール
低下作用について述べる。
[サンプル]以下の羅布麻抽出物を使用した。
・Rafuma 1:茶葉*12.7kgの水抽出物583g(21.59%)
・Rafuma 2:茶葉*21.3kgの水抽出物326g(25.08%)
・Rafuma 3:茶葉*3545.5gの水抽出物115g(21.06%)
・Rafuma 4:茶葉*41.3kgの水抽出物231g(17.76%)*1
茶葉は、中国産羅布麻を天日乾燥したものを使用し
た。*2
茶葉は、中国産羅布麻を一回ばい煎したものを使用
した。*3
茶葉は、中国産羅布麻を加熱乾燥したものを使用し
た。*4
茶葉は、中国産羅布麻を二回ばい煎したもの(商品
名:燕龍茶)を使用した。
羅布麻抽出物は、それぞれ加熱抽出し凍結乾燥して得
た。
[実験群]
・I群:標準食(正常食)
・II群:高コレステロール食(対照群)
・III群:高コレステロール食+Rafuma 1
・IV群:高コレステロール食+Rafuma 2
・V群:高コレステロール食+Rafuma 3
・VI群:高コレステロール食+Rafuma 4
【0006】1群8匹のWistar系雄性ラット(6週令、
体重約170g)に、高コレステロール食{粉末飼料(CE-
2、日本クレア製)にコレステロール1%、コール酸0.5
%を添加したもの}を自由に与え、pair feeding sched
uleで飼育する。羅布麻抽出物を実験開始〜20日までは3
5mg/匹、21〜40日までは70mg/匹を連日投与し、投与
開始日より10日、20日、30日目に尾静脈から採血して、
遠心分離(3000rpm、15min)後、血清を分離し、総コレ
ステロールを測定した。また、実験終了40日目にはラッ
トを断頭により屠殺して、血清、肝組織を得、各種コレ
ステロールを比色法、Noma法でそれぞれ定量した。実験
結果は平均値±標準誤差で表示し、各群間の有意差検定
はFisherのProtected LSD(Least Significant Differe
nce)を用いた。結果を表1〜表7に示す。
