Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a plasma display device. 2. Description of the Related Art In a plasma display device, if the same still image is displayed for a long time, pixels in a display portion are deteriorated and burn-in occurs. Therefore, a method has been already developed for automatically lowering the brightness or automatically turning off the power when the state in which the same still image is displayed continues for a predetermined time or more. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a plasma display device capable of making the deterioration of the light emitting surface of a display panel as uniform as possible. [0004] A plasma display device according to the present invention determines whether an input image is a still image or a moving image, and continues when the input image is a still image. Means for measuring the time, means for storing the video signal of the still image in the memory when the continuation length of the still image first exceeds the predetermined reference time after the power is turned on, In the state where the video signal is stored, every time the duration of the other still image exceeds the duration of the still image stored in the memory, by storing the video signal of the other still image in the memory, Means for storing the video signal of the still image having the longest duration in the memory, and when a power-off command is input, after displaying the inverted image of the still image stored in the memory for a predetermined time,
It is characterized by having means for turning off the power. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows the configuration of a plasma display device. A power on / off command from an operation unit (not shown) is input to the control unit 10. When a power on command is input from the operation unit, the panel power switch 12 is turned on. Let When the panel power switch 12 is turned on, power is supplied from the panel power supply 11 to the display panel. [0008] The digital video signal (input video signal) is sent to the display panel via the video processing section 1 and the selection circuit 2 for display. On the other hand, the input video signal is also sent to the motion determination circuit 3. The motion judging circuit 3 judges whether the input video is a still image or a moving image. For example, a circuit that detects a motion vector of the input image is used. The result of the judgment by the motion judgment circuit 3 is sent to the control unit 10. The control unit 10 measures the duration of the still image with a counter based on the determination result of the motion determination circuit 3. After the power is turned on, when the duration of the still image first exceeds the reference time, the input video signal of the still image is stored in the memory 4 and the duration of the still image stored in the memory 4 is measured. I do. [0010] Even after a still image is once stored in the memory 4, the continuation length of the still image is measured each time another still image is input. Then, when the continuation length of the still image becomes longer than the continuation time of the still image written in the memory 4, the input video signal of the other still image is stored in the memory 4. In this way, the video signal of the still image having the longest continuous length is stored in the memory 4. When a power-off command is input from the operation unit to the control unit 10, the control unit 10 reads the still image stored in the memory 4 having the longest duration and sends it to the video processing unit 1. At the same time, the selection circuit 2 is controlled so as to select the output of the inversion processing unit 5. The video signal processed by the video processing unit 1 is sent to the inversion processing unit 5, subjected to black-and-white inversion processing, and then sent to the display panel via the selection circuit 2. Therefore, the black and white inverted image of the still image having the longest duration is continuously displayed on the display panel. When a predetermined time has elapsed, the panel power switch 12 is turned off. If the image of the still image having the longest duration stored in the memory 4 is an image as shown in FIG. 2A, the still image displayed for a predetermined time after the power-off command is issued. The image is an image as shown in FIG. According to the above-described embodiment, the inverted image of the still image having the longest duration can be displayed for a predetermined time when the power-off command is input. As a result, the deterioration of the light emitting surface of the display panel can be made as uniform as possible. According to the present invention, it is possible to make the deterioration of the light emitting surface of the display panel as uniform as possible.
