【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えば回転式の横シール機構が採用された横型製袋充填機において、筒状フィルム中に所定間隔毎に供給された物品の位置ズレを防止するための位置ズレ防止装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
製袋器により筒状に成形されて水平に移送される筒状フィルム中に、供給コンベヤにより物品を所定間隔毎に順次受渡し供給すると共に、前記物品が供給された筒状フィルムにおける長手方向端縁部の重合面に縦シール(センターシール)を施し、更に筒状フィルムの物品を挟む前後に夫々横シール(エンドシール)・切断を施してなるピロー包装体を製造する横型製袋充填機が広く知られている。

前述した横型製袋充填機への物品の供給は、一般に供給コンベヤの無端チェンに所定間隔で設けた各押送体により、当該物品を所要速度で押送することにより達成される。しかるに何等かの原因で、前記供給コンベヤにおける各対応の押送体の何れかに、物品が供給されなかった場合は、製袋器で成形された筒状フィルムへの物品の受渡し供給が一時的に途切れ、いわゆる欠品を生ずることになる。この欠品を生ずると、当該包装機で連続的に生産される各包装袋に、物品の充填されていない「空袋」が混在することになるが、このような空袋発生は、フィルムの無駄を招くと共に、これを分離除去するための装置を別途必要とする等の不都合がある。従って、供給コンベヤで移送される物品群に欠品が生じている場合は、未然に前記空袋の発生を防止する手段を講じておく必要がある。

前記空袋防止手段として、前記包装機では、供給コンベヤにより所定間隔で移送される物品群中に欠品が存在するのを欠品検知センサにより検知し、この欠品検知信号に基づき供給コンベヤの運転を継続したまま、フィルムの移送機構と横シール機構の作動を一時停止させる運転制御が行なわれている。この場合に、各機構の作動停止、作動開始が繰り返されると、その際にはフィルム移送機構では作動停止、作動開始時に慣性が発生すると共に、各機構に振動が発生する。特に包装機の高速運転時に前述した空袋防止制御が行なわれるような場合では、フィルムの移送停止、移送開始時にビスケット等の軽量な物品は、筒状フィルム中で位置ズレを生じてしまう。そこで、物品移送載置面との間でフィルムを介して物品を保持状態で下流側に向けて移送することが可能な無端ベルト等の補助送り手段を設け、該送り手段により筒状フィルム中に供給されるビスケット等の軽量な物品を安定して下流側に向けて移送する構成が採用されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
例えば、回転式のシール体を備える横シール機構を採用した横型製袋充填機では、シール体の作動領域内には前記補助送り手段を延在させることはできず、ビスケット等のように寸法が小さい物品を包装する場合は、補助送り手段による物品の保持移送終端からシール体の回転中心までに至る間の筒状フィルムには、補助送り手段の保持移送の作用範囲外となる1個以上の物品が存在する。従って、この物品は補助送り手段で保持されず、前記したフィルム移送機構や横シール機構の作動停止、作動開始時に該物品の位置ズレが発生するおそれがある。

この発明は、前述した従来の技術に内在している前記課題に鑑み、これを好適に解決するべく提案されたものであって、各機構の作動停止、作動開始時において、補助送り手段の保持移送終端から横シール機構までに至る間の筒状フィルム中に供給されている物品の位置ズレを防止し得る横型製袋充填機における物品位置ズレ防止装置を提供することを目的とする。

前述した課題を解決し、所期の目的を好適に達成するため、本発明に係る横型製袋充填機における物品位置ズレ防止装置は、

前記補助送り手段は、供給コンベヤから筒状フィルムへの物品受渡し位置から横シール機構におけるシール体の作動領域に介在しない所定位置までに亘り物品を保持可能に設定され、
この補助送り手段による物品の保持移送終端から前記横シール機構におけるシール体の作動領域に至る間に、圧力エア吹出し手段の吹出し口を物品移送路に指向して配設し、該吹出し口から吹出される圧力エアにより筒状フィルムを、物品の周囲を囲むよう形成させることを特徴とする。

【作用】

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明に係る横型製袋充填機における物品位置ズレ防止装置につき、好適な実施例を挙げて、添付図面を参照しながら以下説明する。図1に示す横型製袋充填機10では、帯状フィルム12を所要直径で巻回したフィルム原反ロール14から繰出しローラ16,16を介して引出された帯状フィルム12は、製袋器18に供給されて筒状に成形されるようになっている。製袋器18の上流側には、無端チェン20に所定間隔で取付けた多数の押送体22により、物品24を一定間隔毎に製袋器18で筒状に成形された筒状フィルム12aに受渡し供給する供給コンベヤ26が配設されている。

前記製袋器18の下流側には、筒状フィルム12aの長手方向の重合端縁部を挟持して該フィルム12aを下流側へ向けて移送する一対の送りローラ28,28(一方のみ図示)と、該ローラ28,28の下流側に位置するシールローラ30,30とから構成される縦シール機構32が、物品移送路の下方に配設されている。そして、物品24が供給された筒状フィルム12aの長手方向の重合端縁部に、縦シール機構32によって縦シールを施すよう構成される。

なお、前記製袋器18から後述する横シール機構34の配設位置までの間に、前記筒状フィルム12aに供給された物品24の底面をフィルムを介して支持する搬送ベッド36が水平に配設されている。この搬送ベッド36には物品移送方向に沿ってスリット36aが形成されており(図2参照)、このスリット36aから下方に延出する筒状フィルム12aの長手方向の重合端縁部が、前記送りローラ28,28およびシールローラ30,30で挟持されるようになっている。すなわち、筒状フィルム12aに供給された物品24は、搬送ベッド36に載置された状態で、筒状フィルム12aの移送に伴って下流側に向けて移送される。

前記搬送ベッド36の下流側には、図1に示す如く、筒状フィルム12aに横シール・切断を施す横シール機構34が配設される。この横シール機構34は、サーボモータ等の駆動機構(図示せず)により不等速回転する上下一対のシール体38,38を、筒状フィルム12aの上下に対向して備えている。そして、シール体38,38が同期的に1回転する間に、筒状フィルム12aが1カットピッチ分移送されることで、筒状フィルム12aの物品24を挟む前後に横シール・切断が施されるようになっている。

前記供給コンベヤ26における物品24の筒状フィルム12aへの受渡し位置より上流側に、例えば投受光素子からなる欠品検知センサ40が設けられ、各押送体22により押送されて該検知センサ40の検知領域に到来する物品24の有無を検知し得るようになっている。この欠品検知センサ40は、その検知領域を通過する物品24をその都度検知し、その検知信号を制御装置42に出力するよう構成される。そして、この制御装置42では、欠品検知センサ40からの欠品検知信号の入力に応答して、物品24が筒状フィルム12aに受渡されるべきタイミングに合わせて、フィルムを移送する繰出しローラ16,16や送りローラ28,28等のフィルム移送機構および横シール機構34の作動を一時停止するための作動休止信号が発せられる。また、次のサイクル(押送体22が1ピッチ分移動する周期)以降に欠品検知センサ40からの欠品検知信号が制御装置42に入力されない場合は、フィルム移送機構および横シール機構34の作動を開始する作動開始信号が該制御装置42から発せられるよう設定されている。すなわち、実施例の横型製袋充填機10におけるフィルム移送機構は、欠品検知センサ40からの欠品検知信号に応答して制御装置42から発せられるフィルムの移送制御信号(フィルムの移送停止信号,移送開始信号)に応じてフィルムの移送停止、移送開始が繰り返され、また横シール機構34は、フィルムの移送停止、移送開始に合わせてその作動が一時停止される空袋防止制御運転が行なわれ、空袋を発生させないよう構成してある。

前記搬送ベッド36の上方には、図1に示す如く、補助送り手段としての無端コンベヤ(無端搬送体)44が配設される。このコンベヤ44には、フィルムを介して搬送ベッド36とにより物品24を弾性的に押圧可能なスポンジ状またはブラシ状の複数の押圧部材46が設けられている。そして無端コンベヤ44は、搬送ベッド36に載置されている物品24の上面をフィルムを介して押圧部材46で下方に押圧した状態で、筒状フィルム12aに弛みが発生することがないように繰出しローラ16,16によるフィルム引出し設定速度より僅かに高速となる速度で回転制御され、物品24を位置ズレさせることなく補助送りするべく機能する。なお、無端コンベヤ44は、その押圧部材46と搬送ベッド36とにより物品24を押圧状態で保持移送する終端が、前記横シール機構34のシール体38,38が回転する際に接触干渉しない作動領域外の位置(シール体38,38の回転軌跡外)まで延在している。
