本発明は軒先の出隅部などにて用いられる曲り継手に関する。

従来からたとえば寄せ棟式の屋根の隅部では平面視L字状の曲り継手を用いて軒樋の接続を行っている。そして、曲り継手としては、屋根の出隅部で用いられる出隅タイプと、屋根の入隅部で用いられる入隅タイプとがある(たとえば実公昭59−40496号公報を参照)。

ところで、上記出隅タイプの曲り継手では、この曲り継手1と接着接続した両側の軒樋4が温度差によって収縮した場合、図5に示すように、曲り継手1は引っ張られることになる。その際、図6に示すように、建物の軒先側に位置する曲り継手本体2の後側壁23の下部が積極的に引っ張られて軒先の鼻隠し板5に当たることになる。

しかしながら、この曲り継手でも軒樋の収縮をある程度は吸収できるが、大幅な軒樋の収縮を吸収するには無理があり、鼻隠し板の前面が曲り継手の軒樋接続部の屋内側の側壁下部にて擦られて跡が残ったり、あるいは軒樋との接続部に隙間が生じて接続部の止水性が低下するという問題が依然としてあった。
