この跳ね上げ式門扉は、左右一対の支柱1に第1アーム2a及び第2アーム2bの基端部を枢着し、各アームの先端部を扉体3に枢着し、扉体3を地面付近に垂直状に支持されている閉鎖位置(実線で示された位置)から第1アーム2aを半径として支柱1の上方に水平状に支持されている開放位置(鎖線で示された位置)まで回動するように構成してある。
