このようなCCDカメラを生産工場内で使用するとき、鏡筒の全体を覆うカバーによってレンズと調節リングを粉塵、異物の侵入、および接触による損傷から保護する必要がある。

本願の一の発明は、カメラにマウントされ、外周に回動操作可能な調節リングを備えてなる鏡筒を覆う防塵カバー装置であって、円筒状の鏡筒カバーと、該鏡筒カバーとカメラとを結合するべく前記カメラに固定されてなる円筒状の鏡筒カバー保持部材、鏡筒調節リング操作機構を備え、鏡筒調節リング操作機構は、円筒状の鏡筒カバー保持部材に回動可能に外嵌された操作リングを有し、該操作リングの回動に連動して前記調節リングが回動されるようにして構成されている。本願の他の発明は、さらに、前記鏡筒調節リング操作機構は、前記操作リングと、前記鏡筒カバー保持部材内の内周円筒面に遊嵌された中継環とを有し、該中継環と前記調節リングとが連結されて構成されている。本願の他の発明は、鏡筒調節リング操作機構が押さえピンを有する調節リング遊動防止機構を備えて構成されている。本願の他の発明は、前記調節リングは、絞り調節リングであり、前記中継環と前記絞り調節リングとが連結されて構成されている。本願の他の発明は、前記調節リングは、フォーカスリングであり、前記中継環と前記フォーカスリングとが連結されて構成されている。

本発明の実施例につき図面を参照して説明する。
図1において、1は直方体のケースをもつCCDカメラ本体であり、その内部レンズ系の焦点位置にCCD撮像素子Eが配置されている。カメラ本体は公知の手段によって取付台に保持されている。
該カメラ本体には鏡筒2がマウントされており、鏡筒2はフオーカスリング21と絞り調節リング22を備えている。
鏡筒2の全体を覆って防塵カバー装置3が配置される。防塵カバー装置3は、円筒状の鏡筒カバー31と、円筒状の鏡筒カバー保持部材4、および調節リング操作機構を備えている。鏡筒カバー31はその前面端部に保護ガラス32を有し、その他端内側には雌ねじ33が刻設されている。鏡筒カバー保持部材4は図示しないネジによってカメラ本体1に接合固定されている。

鏡筒カバー保持部材4の周面には長孔、若しくは切り欠き42が透設され、その他端に雄ネジ43が刻設されている。雄ネジ43は鏡筒カバーの雌ねじ33と螺合する。長孔42は操作リング5が組合わされて封口されているため、鏡筒防塵カバー装置の内部に粉塵や異物が侵入することがない。
操作リング5には伝達ピン52がネジ固着されるとともに、該伝達ピン52は保持部材4の周面の長孔内を回動可能に通過し、該伝達ピンの先端部52aは中継環50の端面に等間隔に複数形成された切り欠き53の一ヶ所に係合するようになっている。
